They want revenge on those that tormented them so many years ago. How many of us can relate to that? Lisa Kudrow is somewhat of an underrated talent. She has played dumb before, as Pheobe on FRIENDS, but her dramatic roles (like the Oscar worthy performance in Opposite of Sex) are also impressive. Though far from the league of Meryl Streep, Lisa walks a line well above the Julia Roberts' of the world. Sorvino, on the other hand, has seen her career dwindle since her Oscar win; thanks to poor role selection. Here though, both Sovino and Kudrow are perfect, flawless as the Romy and Michelle. The movie is hilarious, and easily outranks such dumb-fella movies as ";Dumb and Dumber";, or ";Wayne's World";. Janeane Garofalo gets the most belly laughs here and is priceless in her supporting role. The script is clever, witty and moves at a great pace, but stumbles a bit at a way to long and overplayed dream sequence. However, the slight stumble is easy to forgive - especially since for the most part, the movie is non stop laughs. Anyone who went to a school where you had the A-Group, B-Group and C-Group (based on status and coolness) will be able to relate, making it that much funnier. Was this review helpful? This is one of the funniest movies ever. It's not really just for chicks either even though one might think that. The quandry of how to approach the dreaded high school reunion is played to the hilt here. These two work so well together and the funny thing is that they are so good at being gawky geeks that you have to blink not to realize that the actresses are really not that in reality. I think that adds to the film's charms. They are very believable as longtome best friends. JaneAnne is perfect in her supporting role, truly hilarious. The rest of the film was also cast really well. You will want to see this more than once or to own for a guaranteed laugh, so consider buying it?? Was this review helpful?
