This is a wonderful rendition of the trials and tribulations of a heavy metal band back in the day. The scenes in the hotels as the band travels about the country are right on (I imagine) as they completely trash the rooms, ride motorcycles inside the hotel hallway and throe things out the window. It’s hard to imagine how it would be to be totally wasted for a year or so. The music is great! I love the flick! Oh yeah, Walhberg did a great job as well. I grew up in the 70s rock and blues scene. Played covers in a garage band back then. Mark Wahlberg portrayed my dream. Jennifer is hot in this movie. I wouldnt have given her up for the stardom, though. Anyways excellent movie. Motivated me to keep playing guitar.
I cranked up my amp after watching it, and pretended to be Eddie Van Halen.

However, Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston do provide for very nice eye-candy! The story follows a wanna-be rock star on his journey to "discovery". I don't remember seeing anyone trying to dress like or imitate members of any band besides Kiss- Especially not Rob Halford. To make matters worse for me, I look like Mark in this movie. Fame, money, a big house and any person you want. Being a rockstar is everyones dream. Yet watching this movie could really change your perspective. This movie shows you the real life of a rockstar. Its fun exciting and you would think that you had it made. But like the young man in this movie learned, fame is not everything. No matter what you do following your dream, it is the most important thing to do while growing up. But you should never follow some one elses. You may not full-fill your dreams, but if you do, it is well worth it to work hard for it. And, once you get there, done forget the people that have helped you along the way!
