Catherine Zeta Jones does a phenomenal job but Tom Jones really displays the breadth of his talents in this entertaining musical. He plays the Rock Star role to perfection; it's hard to believe that his acting roots didn't originate in music. I was thoroughly entertained and shocked at the range of Mr. Crusie's vocals and performance. If you want a fun musical 2 hours of solid Rock.....see this movie!!!! Was this review helpful? Tom Cruise and Alec Baldwin, I am surprise that you 2 would do a movie like this, your parts sure didn't fit you at all. If you were my sons, I would have said please don't do that movie. I loved all the music. Very impressed with Tom Cruise's singing ability. I thought the actors were good and I don't even like Russell Brand and he did okay.
