The Sheriff (Alan Rickman) is just so deliciously evil yet cunning. From the words of the great one up above (me) (hint, hint, Americans,) 'Rickman kicked Kevin's arse!' Was this review helpful? During the Crusades, one of the unfortunate to fall captive is young Robin of Locksley who waits in a Turkish dungeon to undergo his fate . He strikes a survivalist relationship with Azeem, the Moor; but does not sit still for any torture, and manages flight back to England only to discover that the minions of Nottingham have run unchecked in Richard's absence and are now pillaging the commonwealth in the name of the King. After an encounter with Guy of Gisborn and his knights, Robin flees to the uncertain terrains of Sherwood where he stumbles on a band of refugees at rivers edge. After an encounter with their leader he rallies the band and begins the liberation of the common folk and an unlikely romance with the King's cousin. Although the critics were severely mixed about this film, Kevin Costner delivers all the swashbuckling and devil-may- care that you can handle in this very exciting re-make. Alan Rickman is delightful as the cavalier Sheriff and whose that feller with the crown? A skillful re-telling. Was this review helpful? This movie had just all around, a GREAT cast. The acting skills were all just so perfect, and all the actors and actresses have these faces that fit their characters personality. I recommend this for a good guy/bad guy type of person. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-9 of 9 Per Page | ||
