She travels back home with her father to recuperate. Because of her "wild ways" as a young woman, her father doesn't approve of her and he and she have a shaky relationship. Edna Mae captured the feelings of a woman with this "gift" thrust upon her. She was an ordinary woman with an ordinary life. She didn't want the fame or the responsibility that went with it. Sam Shepard who was a true believer in her ability and thought she was of Christ. She didn't want his belief or his worship. <br>If you have the opportunity to get this movie, please take the time to watch it. I am glad I saw it. There was a recent remake of it with Dana Delany of China Beach fame. It was a good remake and I enjoyed this movie as well. Was this review helpful?
