First off, Mr. Tarantino left out two of the characters backgrounds of how they came upon this job and what happened to them in the end. (Yes, you know they die from bullets but how?) Perhaps that was the point; to leave it up to the imagination. Also, as someone previously mentioned, the robbery itself? I know they worked with a fixed budget but quick flashbacks or something would have been nice, just SOMETHING. Too much left unanswered that's why I gave it a 3 out of 5. Quentin's more recent work blows this away (from the directing aspect). Acting was great, true. Dialogue pretty good. I still reccommend it. Was this review helpful? So I decieded to give it a watch. I fell in love with this movie. It has become one of my favorite movie next to Art School Confidential. This is easliy probably one of the best mobster movies next to The Godfather (another amazing movie). I would have to agree with my friends father have to call this movie a classic. Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Disappointment but GOOD none the lessPosted: 11/19/2006A review of Reservoir Dogs by Anonymous i bought this movie expectin a action film with....action. well, to the say the least, i was disappointed when i finished the movie and it had less action than a disney movie. but dont get me wrong, it was still good, the acting was was un - effin-believeable. everyone in this film conveys a sense of real emotion, real energry, and that is what i think saves the film from such a lack of action. so yea, i would recommend this movie to everyone because of the acting and because, even though there was no action, taratino easily sets up a stressful feeling and he is able to build the suspense effectively, albeit a little slowly. overall i would give this movie an A, go watch it. The charactors all pull off very convincing rolls. Remember, we have to keep one thing in mind, this is a crime drama not an action adventure movie and Tarantino allows us to believe this with almost no effort. And the fact that this movie has no music score only makes it that much more realistic. An almost perfect portrayal of crime it its purest form. Highly recommended! Was this review helpful? I mean one of his favorite movies is dumb and dumber... that out to say something. Anway this movie is hands down my favorite movie of all time. It has some of the best acting ive ever seen on a low budget film, acutally some of the best acting ive seen (kudos to Tim Roth and Harvey Kietel). This movie may not be full of car explosions or bullet time but it offers a very intresting story and one hell of twist at the end which surprised me. But what this movie lacks in action it makes up for pure raw energy that the actors give. This movie has some of the most tense scenes ive witnessed as well as each charecters ferocity is just amazing. I thought this was a brillient movie by one of our greates directors. I 100 recommend this movie to any fan of old fashion american film making. I loved this movie A.

The movie wasted 1.5 hours of my life. It is extremely boring and uneventful. Every scene is ether in a restorant, car or some sort of a plain room. This is because they probably had about 10K budget and could not afford anything else. Also the movie has almost 0 action. When I say 0 I mean the most you are going to see is a guy running for about 1 min from cops. Mark my words, you are going to regret watching this film - unless you are braindead or extremly high. <br><br>I dont know who wrote these 5 star reviews for this film. The only place I figure they came from is the film crew or the producers who are trying to make a buck.<br><br>If you think I dont have a clue about good movies, my favorite ones are Oceans 11, Fight Club, Matrix 1, Snatch, Momento and Dumb and Dumber. Although the film has a low budget and it basically takes place in one location, this is one of my favourite films. Needless to say, Tarantino's Screenplay is excellent with some brilliant one-liners. The quality of the script is reinforced by the incredible cast. Harvey Keitel, Steve Buscemi, Tim Roth and the rest all deliver stunning performances. The plot is superb and executed in such a way by the genius that is Quentin Tarantino,that you won't dare to blink until it's over. However this film is not for the faint-hearted with its graphic violence (especially the now infamous "ear scene") and it's excessive bad-language, but if this does not bother you and you are familiar with some of Tarantino's other work (Pulp Fiction for instance) and you are not afraid to witness the grim realities of organized crime then i truly recommend this film to you. Great perforances from Mr. pink(Buscemi), Mr. Blonde(Madison), Mr. Orange(Roth) and Mr. White(Keitel). Basically about 7 strangers the robbery they attempt and the paranoia that ensues, when they determine one of them is a cop. Some flash backs were a little slow but made the point and got on with it.
