This movie was a regular, wonderful movie from Pixar's greatness! I must agree, this has a direction toward older (not too old, of course) viewers. Kids of all ages should like Remy's parts, I always chuckle when I see his little pink hands throwing in some saffron. Being a rat, this is very creative! Four stars! Was this review helpful? For those of you who've worked in a kitchen or a hospitality position YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS! It is so accurate to what happens in a kitchen, the personalities in the characters, the situations! The animation was spectacular but I was left disappointed with the story line and lack of humor (although the old woman with the shotgun was VERY funny!) Was this review helpful? Never bored me, kids loved it and just well-done. Was this review helpful? My two children, ages 11 and 8 also said they liked it. Although they did not do a lot of laughing out loud, the film was made so well that it held their interest until the end. Animation- wonderful in detail. Story - Please chop about 40 minutes off. I literally thought the movie was ending and then they tacked on another 20 minutes! Memorable - What the Hell was the rat's name again... Was this review helpful? Instead of a two hour movie it could have been an hour and been just as good. My kids wanted more action and said that they did not care about a cooking rat! I do not feel like the movie was worth 8 bucks a ticket!! Was this review helpful? Not geared to young children-- more for an older crowd, which may account for the unfulfilled expectations in the user reviews.
I loved the message that you have to be who you are. . . and that's plenty good enough. As a writer, I especially loved the comeuppence of the critic, Anton Ego (so aptly named!!!). He was as delicious a villain as I've ever seen. And to watch him undone by a cooking rat-- too good by half! Oddly touching in places. . . which I didn't expect.
Go see the movie, marvel at the animation and enjoy the vibrant characters, and smile long after you've left the theater! Was this review helpful? You forget you're watching animated characters and become involved with a great story. Adults & kids are laughing out loud at the same moments! Everyone can enjoy Ratatouille - don't wait for the DVD! Was this review helpful? Sign In | ||
