Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful OMG!!First of all, it was way to short evrything happened so fast, by the time it got to the end u had to just figure out urslelf what may have happened to them like did they make it etc.etc. This movie gave a bad definition to horror I mean come on whos gonna be scared of an unleashed pure evil virus. Whats it gonna do hack my desktop to death, blow up my minutes (Ooo Im scared now) Corny Corny Corny. Please nobody else watch this BS. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Pulse - not what you expect....So since I have seen this movie I have been torn on what I thought about it. Heres the thing...if you are going for blood and gore (which I was) ...this is not the film to see. It is more of a psycological thriller (you would not get that from the trailer)...playing on the dependency of the world on electronics. Which makes it eerily close to home for anyone who owns a computer...or uses a cell phone ) It also has the boo factor. It definitely makes you jump here and there. But it is not the heart thumping horror they portray in the trailers.
So I loved it in the sense that it left more to the imagination, and just gave you that over all eerie feeling. But I was slightly disappointed at the fact that It was not as overtly scary as I was expecting. I do however recommend it!! Just go in knowing that it is not the scariest movie in the world...but is a fantastic storyline and a horrific thought! Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Oh My GoshThat movie hit close to home because it is about your computer. a modern everyday use of technology that in this movie is also the use to a portal for the dead. it just reminds you of stuff not necessarily that could happen but gives you a broad imagination of what could. i thought that the grudge and the ring was scary but this movie kept me on edge and kept me guessing. when i got home you could imagine that it took me awhile to go to sleep.
HINT dont take it from us go see it for yourself.
Oh and to the Negative Ones out there lighten up. this movie was great you are just trying to impress other people and trying to be a hard ass. SERIOUSLY DID YOU THINK THE MOVIE WAS THAT BAD? Sign In 6 out of 8 users found this helpful What Can I Say?First of all, I am a BIG FAN of all of the japanese horror flick remakes coming out. I think it gives us a fresh batch of horror flicks that im sorry to say most american writers probably wouldnt come up with. And the awesome things about these new batch of movies is that alot of them are based on Japanese Legends, or Myths such as Ring and Grudge. Im the type of person that does not sit and analyze horror movies so i can work out the plot in detail or laugh at the silliness of the special effects.
Me? I LOVE the adrenaline rush of thinking there is always something around the corner in the dark part of your house waiting to jump out and getcha! Whenever I watch a movie I let my imagination run wild, like what IF that really happened, when i turn on my computer next is it going to jump out and grab me? THAT is what horror writers want you to do. Let your imagination run away with you and GET SCARED!!!
Ive read some reviews about this movie and am a little dissapointed in the fact that so many people found this movie lame.
For me? There was Ring, Ring2 and Grudge, etc. Watched all the Japanese originals and watched the original of Pulse too. let me say, Pulse had me jumping higher in my seat than all others!
The thought of opening a superwideband signal trying to speed up communications and then accidentally bumping into restless spirits wanting to get their lives back. BRILLIANT!!! I thought the acting was really great. Christina has been in a few movies but this by far has been her best. Also, this had all the classic horror movie musts. GREAT screams, LOTS of jump scenes, and the PLOT was really good too. I love the fact they didnt end it where they didnt just shut down the servers lol. (Dang battery backups, you know thats what happened). It leaves us hanging in kind of a what if this really happened or IS happening?

A good ghost story is always fun to watch, but this films foundation is so ridiculous, its hard to like it. I tried to like it, and their are some interesting scenes here and there, but you come back to what the premise is really about and all you can say is that as a whole it is marginal at best! Wow..we were told that the Summer movie season of 05 was a bust. In my oppinion, 06 is far worse as a whole! Maybe Ill go waste some more money on the so called hit of the summer Snakes On A Plane. If looked at from a larger perspective, and with the supernatural theme extracted, we see another Terminator. Yet, what if the computers we rely upon do instanteously develop their own way of thinking or acting? Remember the incident back in the Carter era? Dont? Well, it seems- due to human error, if I recall correctly- we almost had nuclear war, back then.Well, the ghosts in the machine- a very old concept- are the nukes of tomorrow, let us say. That is one way of looking at it. Another, it is just silly junk that goes on for too long, yet has some good frightening qualities. At least, a horror master picked this one up to Americanize it. Let us face it, with the world going to hell, why not have more frightening ghost stories, zombie pictures, or even a sequel to the great classic Hostle? How about Hostle 2 The revenge of the sadists? Considering this world, it could become a hit, also overseas, with Arabic, Korean, Hungarian or Czech.subtitles, maybe. Was this review helpful? The Pulse is another attempt of American Movie Makers to remake a Japanese film that might I add I want to rent because it would probably be 100 times better than this version. The dream sequences are actually good, as are the views into people killing themselves, and towards the end the movie it really gets going, there lies the problem, it was the END of the movie.
