This Tuesday I am buying the Theatrical version of Prom Night on DVD with Brittany Snow and My Dad is going to buy the Unrated version of Prom Night on DVD with Brittany Snow at Wal-Mart. Prom Night is my favorite Brittany Snow and Johnathon Schaech movie. I can't wait to watch my Prom Night DVD with Brittany Snow and Johnathon Schaech. Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Prom Night Worst of its kind!Posted: 7/8/2008A review of Prom Night by Movielover1049 Prom Night was not only the worst slasher movie I have ever seen but one of the worst movies I have I ever seen. Besides the fact that the concept was completely unoriginal, the special effects only added to the cheesiness of the movie overall and the acting was horrible. It might have had a chance to be suspenseful if it didn't follow every horror movie cliche there is. The entire movie was completely predictable, two of the students went upstairs to have sex, of course at least one of them is going to die. The killer wasn't even a little bit scary, no matter how they played the light across his face as he does a sinister snear... this movie was so god awful. Though at the end I was still hanging in there because I believe a good ending can salvage the entire movie no matter how horrible it is. Right before the very end I predicted, out loud, exactly how the last ten minutes was going to play out, and was hoping that it wouldn't play out this way. I hoped that just once in this horrible example of a "suspence" movie that their would actually be some suspense. I was let down though, as the entire end played out exactly as I had predicted. This movie is a complete waste of time and money, and it doesn't even deserve one star. Was this review helpful? Like most slasher movies the cops were stupid and ineffective. Lead actress - WOW . I dont think the professional review watched the same movie. It was waaaaay too predictable. It was pretty much like someone had taken a book called "Cheap Slasher Movies For Dummies" and inserted scenes accordingly. You pretty much know exactly who's going to die next, and when it's going to happen.
The killer in the movie, Jonathon Schaech, was believable as a crazed, obsessive maniac, but a few of the actors were painstakingly talentless.
Lead actress Brittany Snow did a decent job, as did the lead detective.
I'd say this movie is definitely worth paying to see, that is, if you can get past the annoying squeals and shreiks of teens throughout the entirety of the movie... Was this review helpful? Sign In 8 out of 10 users found this helpful Is a good popup killer showPosted: 4/11/2008A review of Prom Night by Emk2009 It was very good i have to say ms.snow who played donna truly has refreshed the screen with what acting should be she had an amazing performance and there was great chemistry it was very believible i didn't want it to end. but there has been so many movies that have been made that there is no more originality so you take what you can get and this movie is a good horror film that doesn't involve freaky dead girls with black hair for once!!!!!!
