A excellent family flick that teaches many on levels, though it wasnt the intention specifically. It is hard not to educate yourself, even if your aware of mans ignorance.
Breaks stereotypical thought and gives a sense of unity among the human race.
These are the movies Hollywood should make more of.
Too bad it took almost 35 years to tell it. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful I took my two young boys to see this movie over the weekend. My oldest (9 years old) didnt really want to see it but I chose it anyway because I wanted to see it (We always see what they want to see!). By the end of the movie, he was cheering and clapping along with everyone else in the theatre. As we were walking out he said I didnt know that it was going to be such a heartwarming movie. Im glad we saw this one. I would have to say that this is a great movie for families and for anyone who loves a great story. It was a very inspirational and touching story. I was so happy to see an adult movie that I could see with my kids and not be worried about explicit language, images, or violence. And all of the actors were fantastic! Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful I saw this movie at a sneak preview in Syracuse,NY and even though the plot was a little formulamatic the film itself was well acted and inspirational. Terrence Howard as ususal gave a strong and believable perfomance, even though some of the writing was a little cliched. Bernie Mac brought both humor and sensitivity to his his role. The rest of the cast was also good and even Tom Arnold as the bigoted coach was believable. All in all this is the type of movie that adults should bring their children to see because the message is a positive one. Was this review helpful? The movie deals with issues of discrimination in a sad but truthful manor. The story is inspirational. A real feel good movie. You know a movie has moved an audience when it ends in applause.
