I got the storyline that beauty comes from within.....Yahdah, yahdah. Christina Ricci is too old (looks) to be portraying a young girl such as her character and she was much prettier with the snout, by the way(my opinion).
I was a little confused at where the story took place. Maybe I missed that part had I not lifted the arms from the empty seats next to me to lay down for a nap while my little sister tried to keep me awake throughout the movie. Anyhoo, did anone else notice that only a few people throughout this movie spoke American English who have lived where the story took place pretty much for their entire lives hadn't acquired an English or British accent??? The budget must have been really tight because Ricci, Witherspoon, or O'Hara didn't have accents.
I guess I will have to wait another 6 months to a year to see a good movie at the theatre. Any suggestions on what to see??? Was this review helpful? A modern day fairy tale with a real message that everyone can walk away with. So many "fairy tales" these days are superficial and it was refreshing to see something new with a plot that hasn't been overdone.
