However, the suggested love scene during the night together on the beach between Hartnett and Affleck was a nice touch. Love triangle, indeed!
Also, the Chinese didn't even have an Air Force in 1951, and instead fought somewhere in Asia at a place called Port Arthur where they defeated the Germans under Herr Howard Hess. Also, Timmy Doolittle was an animal Doctor, not a pilot. . And they didn't even have Blacks in this war until they attacked the Fort in "Glory."

It was a terrific movie Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay did a very good job on this movie. Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett, Kate Beckinsale, Cuba Gooding J.R. did a very good job acting in it too. Ben Afflecks charactor Rafe McCawley is my favorite . I like it when Rafe and Evelyn are together I think its so romantic when theyre together. Ben Affleck is so cute. It is the dramatic tale of the bombing of Pearl Harbor mingled with a romantic love story. A love story this passionate is rare in our cynical world. Good action scenes, but the love triangle was weak and garbled. Several historical errors that easily could have been corrected, leaving the film intact. <br>Taking the casket off the plane at the end was poorly done (never would have happened at that time). And for those who think Roosevelt knew of the coming raid, think again. No one thought Pearl Harbor would be attacked (not one military officer EVER came forward stating so...Dan Akroyd's character is fictional). As shown in the movie, despite evident war preparations by Japan, Admiral Kimmel and General Short were enjoying a lazy Sunday morning when the first bombs fell. A tragic comedy of errors. Over 2400 men and women paid the price.<br>Grade: B- Was this review helpful? The reason it was so popular is because it not only gave you the facts of the pearl harbor attack it had a real human interest story which got you really emotionally involved with the characters in the story who were portrayed excellently by the actors Ben Affleck Kate Beckinsale and Josh Hartnett.<br>I give this movie 5 stars!
