I am not here to promote Ben but to give a fair write. Uma and Ben did a great job in this science fiction action drama with a little bit of romance movie.The plot was great. I never knew what was going to happen next. In addition, although some may feel this is science fiction, in the future what happened in the story may go from make believe to not such a fairy tale. The action scenes, plot, technology and even the actors.
I'm a sci-fi buff so it was aimed at me. I don't agree with the negative comments fron the critics.
Great movie! I'd watch it again.

I thought this movie was creative and the actors really had a good chemistry together. Armagedon was one of my favorite movies and I am looking forward to seeing Jersey Girl. Ben is wonderful on screen and I often wonder if hes this way in real life. It helps to hear good publicity about the people you watch on the big screen. Ben seems real in everyway in any interviews I have seen him in. I was watching something the other day and the man holding the mic asked Ben if he knew he was going to be on tv and if so why hadnt he shaved and Ben came back with a smart remark about the guys hair. I thought how bizarre is it for people not to be expected to be real just because their on TV. If he wants a beard (or as he said too lazy to shave) that should be his prerogative. I like the whole memory clear and everything even though they had no reason to wipe his memory. The only thing I actually didn't like about this movie was that it was a little to unrealistic and the clues and how he figured out what to do were just a little convenient for my liking. Other than that I loved this movie and I am not a big Ben Affleck fan even though Uma Thurman isn't hard to look at. You should definitely see this movie. Was this review helpful? When he asked the gal what his favorite baseball team was, why didn't the guy in her earpiece respond for her? A bullet could not pierce a tank unless it has a chamber around it to contain the pressure behind it. And why couldn't Ben Affleck remember Uma Thurman from when they met BEFORE the marker was set (at the party)? I had to watch this movie for 4 nights at home, because I couldn't stay awake! The incidental music drags this already slow movie through the proverbial molasses. Once again, a great premise ruined by poor moviemaking. Was this review helpful? However, compared to the crap that's been put out recently, it's solid gold. The plot is clever and the acting is decent... and the action scenes are great. <br>Generally I would have given it maybe three and a half stars. But I love Uma Thurman, especially in this movie. She is awesome. So that's another star. And another half star to make up for all the unnecessarily terrible, biased-against-Ben-Affleck reviews that critics have given it. I actually think they had the chemistry with out showing any love scene. I would like to see these two do a romantic comedy someday...i think they would do well together. I also liked the fact that they brought the red sox into the movie...im a huge boston red sox fan and it definitely made me and my boyfriends family laugh because of course anyone who watched games last year know of ben and his home team the sox are everything to him in baseball...I just thought that was good comic relief by that point in the movie... The plot was a complicated one, but very well delivered...you need to have an open mind and believe what you are watching. It was an intellectual film, with action which was cool. The plot was so amazing! The acting could have been better, but hey, Ben is so hot, who cares? My favorite scene is when Jennings is finally figuring out what the heck is going on with the envelope. First time I saw it I was totally enthralled. People who say they didn't like it either: a. Don't like sci fi to begin with b. Don't like Ben to begin with c. Aren't sure of what a good movie really is or d. Are too dumb to figure out the plot so they say they don't like it. Throughout the entire film I was on the edge of my seat. I like Ben Affleck in general, but I just wish that he would get out of his typical "suit and combed over hair" phase. He is a good actor, but he should not pick the same time of movies over and over again. I think that he has potential. He could be in some great films, but for some reason he is just holding himself back.<br>The movie was interesting at times, and it did have some action, but it's the type of movie where you know how it's going to end. Sign In 2 out of 4 users found this helpful stick with scienceThis movie could have been a good sci-fi thriller if it did not have a feminine part to it, because then it turns into a drama between a guy and a girl. Suspense must be present in the movie at all times. Final acts of sacrifice and love and romance ina serious science fiction movie don't work. Just watch previous great science fiction movies from the seventies and eighties like Solaris (in Russian), and Android, 2001 Space Odyssey, and many others maintained that sophistication, that seriousness instead of the silly romance which leads to silly dialogue. I don't believe that Affleck can succeed as a science fiction actor, I think he needs to change his typical white guy attitude when in a science fiction movie. Was this review helpful?
