Date  Helpful Rating 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Hackwork yet againDon't they make any sci-fi/horror films anymore that don't have villainous creatures that look, act, and sound like Orcs (along with the Hollywood creature standard screams seguing into high-pitched shrieks)? These Orca-likes appeared to have crossbred with extra refugees from "The Road Warrior" (semi-apropo since the actor who played Wez was in the Quaid vehicle "Innerspace") Enter character with Milla Jojovichesque looks and slightly foreign accent, and you have "Event Horizon" meets "Resident Evil." Too bad, because this film is better than that.
I like the post-apocolyptic films. crawling over a seething mass of naked zombies really got my adrenalin pumping. That's the way I felt when Butch went back down into the basement with the samuri sword and put his hand on the green door in "Pulp Fiction". There were too many surprise twists at the end, so I'll have to see it again, but, I would compare it to "Solaris". Was this review helpful? Very Hot Chic makes for nice eye candy as well. Had questions afterwards but film had me tense and waiting to see what happens next. Definately worth a look if you like movies that creep you out. I read some of the 'critics' reviews and I disagree with the negative reviews. My brother and I saw it and we were blown away! I commend STARZ on a movie well done !

It has the science fiction sophistication of Alien and the dark, underground horror of The Descent. The combination is both exciting and attention grabbing.
