I did, however like the way Boog and Elliot play out their message of Animal and nature preservation. What hit me ,at heart, was that Man has been greedy and takes more of this Planet than He should. These animated creatures try to send Man a message, that we should think of them, as we undergo overpopulation and expansion.
This Earth is getting too crowded, that these innocent living beings are pushed and shoved into a very tight corner of the Globe. I thought the way it ended was sweet. The bear learns he belongs with the Wild, and that is the wonderful way I picture all Gods Creatures, whether Great or Small. Was this review helpful? I WOULD RENT IT OR WAIT FOR IT ON CABLE, TV
BUT ITS NOT WORTH BUYING
THIS CARTOON DOESNT COME CLOSE TO BARNYARD OR SHREK. OR EVEN NEMO.

My kids would too. Was this review helpful? I like the guy dont get me wrong, but his voice didnt match the part and there wasnt much chemistry between the two main characters. Other than that, this movie was awesome, I had a lot of good laughs and Boog the Bear is my alltime favorite. This movie is worth seeing. Was this review helpful? and I know everyones a critic
Next time choose actors who can feed off each other, that was lousey
Ashton was like the deer that got left behind when the first shot rang out and the herd headed for the hills. such a shame too because that movie could have become an icon like some of the great ones. what other deer are in or beasts, no names please....... and so it goes. No doubt is was a good idea for a movie but to call it an animation comedy, now thats just terrible. The only character I found enjoyable was the deer played by Ashton.
If you want a good animation comedy- I suggest Finding Nemo or maybe Over the Hedge. Dont waste your money or your time. Was this review helpful? The expected set of action gags and bathroom humor but it never goes too far. Not a lot of sappy musical interludes which seem to pad so many animated movies these days. Martin Lawrence does a super job as the bear. Go for it! Was this review helpful? I have seen every animated movie that has come out this year and this movie is barnone the best of the bunch. The characters are well developed and the story line is very well thought out from the beginning of the movie to the end. If you have a child and you want to take them to see one movie this year it is OPEN SEASON! Was this review helpful? I like this movie. I collet teddy bears. I aslo draw bears. If I was Boog the bear I wont let a candy bar make me go to the town. Was this review helpful? Allow me to encapsulate it for you...all the furry little critters in the woods are actually PEOPLE in fur regalia and furthermore they are OPPRESSED by those mean old hunters. Give me a break!!!! This is exactly the kind of the thing that teaches our children to NOT show the proper respect for wildlife (because they think they can talk and reason) and all too often ends up in getting kids hurt or worse in real wild animal encounters. This whole idea of animals portrayed as thinking, reasoning, HUMANS is just too rediculous for words. I suppose I could see the humor in it if I hadnt had to explain to my own child why the sweet, furry little rabbit bit her when she tried to pet it. Was this review helpful?
