High impact on an extremely low budget. Bought dvd and cd the next day. Falling Slowly is a mesmerising ballad.
Glen Hansard - musician and now a very talented actor - wonderful. Dublin portrayal very true to life. Was this review helpful? The duet in the music store where a song is developed by the guy and girl is an amazing scene. I bought the cd the next morning after seeing the film and can't wait to get the dvd. Just a moving store about people who love music. I wonder if there is a sound track to this or if I can get a CD of the lead singer. Terrible songs by lousy singers and no freaking story! None! Characters that didn't amount to a piss hole in the snow, nothing happens, no crisis, no revelation, no nothing that matters. The characters are so genuine you can't help but become involved in their lives. The music and lyrics were beautifully written, performed with such heartfelt emotion that it left me wanting the cd.
