Animal House is the greatest college movie to date. It captures every true aspect of dorm life and everything else. My favorite scene is when John Belushi has those mashed potatoes in his mouth. Im a zit. Get it? And I also love the part with the song of Shout. This movie doesnt need to be remade, but put in a treasure vault, because its the ultimate party movie. This movie, Van Wilder, and Sorority Boys are all great college movies. But, my favorite college movies in order are Animal House, Van Wilder, Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle, American Pie 2, Sorority Boys, but definitly NOT Dorm Daze. Was this review helpful? It truely captures all that is fun and exciting about college and fraternity life. John Belushi is at his best in this classic film. I rate this film a 10/10. The laughs never stop! A hilarious blend of 60s nostalgia, low brow humor and biting satire, the film captures what all of us wish our college experience could be. <br><br>This is the picture that put Jim Belushi on the map as well as launching the careers of Tom Hulce and Tim Matheson, while giving us all the memorable characters of Bluto, Neidermeyer, Otter, Flounder and Hoover. My senior year in high school, I made the mistake of taking a first date to this movie at the local theater, while my 'alleged' friends were sitting in the back of theater hooting & hollering like a pack of wild wolves! Had I not been on date, I would have been right there with them. Every time you watch this movie, it brings you right back to where you were when you first watched it.
