WHEN THAT SHARK FLEW THROUGH THE WINDOW I LAUGHED SO HARD I ALMOST CHOCKED ON MY POPCORN.
NO AFENCE BUT LUKE WILSON FOR SOME REASON MY OPINION ON LUKE WILSON WHEN HE DOES A MOVIE HE DOES SUCH A HORRID JOB. SO GETTING BACK TO THE MOVIE I DON'T KNOW WHY ON THE COVER OF THIS MOVIE IT LOOKS LIKE EVEN THOUGH THAT HIS CRAZY EX IS TRYING TO KILL HIM I THINK HES TRYING TO LOOKS AT HER BODY. the only good parts when the shark flew through the window. what u saw in the comercial was the only good parts of the movie.
being having one of the wilson brothers in it. i thought it was going to be real good. it was a dud
i wouldnt recomend renting this movie wait for it to come on t.v. or cable.

I laughed all the way through the film and heard loud roars to chuckles bouncing around the cinema, i could deffinetly tell everyone was enjoying the movie. Uma Thurman plays a fab super hero and when G-Girl is getting revenge on the poor Luke Wilson it really makes you laugh and sorry for him at the same time.
Cringingly embarrassing moments but you just cant keep your eyes off the screen incase you miss a witty moment or perfect time for a giggle! I thought that the comercials would only chose the best parts of the movie but when actually watching the film i realized their wasnt a moment where i felt i was right. The adverts were great but the film was even better! A must see and a must buy dvd! I thought it was funny, you might too. Was this review helpful? Uma Thurman and Luke Wilson were great, and I loved Umas superhero outfits. I thought the premise was fun, what would happen if a normal young girl was suddenly given superpowers. Dont you think she would grow up to be neurotic? And the whole relationship with Luke Wilson reminded me too much of relationships Ive had. Although I could not put an exs car into orbit, it certainly would have been tempting if I could. I just thought it was very funny. Not a date movie, though. Was this review helpful? If you take it as it is, what would happen if Superman powers were given to a normal unsecured neurotic girl, everything stands to its place.
The film is a masterpiece of its genre. The last scene where the girls fly to save the world and their men go for a beer is classis.

This was my full account of the movie guessing from the preview. But may i just say, the preview is VERY misleading. Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Fun movie -- worth the time and moneyPosted: 7/28/2006A review of My Super Ex-Girlfriend by Anonymous If you have gotten this far, you have already gotten an idea on what this movie is about, but might be a mite confused as folks are rating it everything from one to five stars. Heres my take
First, this isnt high cinema -- and most folks should have known that just by looking at the title. If you think that nothing is worth 5 stars unless Fellini was involved or paid homage to, well, OK I suppose, and on that scale perhaps this movie is a two star. However, most folks give 5 stars to a movie for the simple factors of enjoyment and worth the money paid to see it, and on that scale this movie is a solid four stars.
This is a simple comedy, with a simple plot and simple humor. Some folks may tsk-tsk such things, citing a lack of convoluted plot threads that artistically coalesce in the end as somehow not worth the film it was printed upon. However, after a particularly stressful week, getting a bit of time to rest, relax, and laugh my head off with my wife...well, thats priceless in a lot of ways. Dont get me wrong -- I love art movies, well, more than most of the next guys -- but sometimes its good to see a movie just to have fun and escape from the world for a while. This movie does that in spades.
Best of all, it is very well acted, despite the simplicity of the theatric elements.
I should note that there is plentiful crude humor, one brief nude scene (male from behind), and some cartoonish violence (worse example where heat vision boils a goldfish, but fish and people were not harmed--gotta love cartoon-type violence). Plot could have been tightened and some of the scripting improved, but they werent enough to diminish enjoyment that much.

I fell asleep in act 2 and found the heat outside more enjoyable than this thing in an air conditioned theatre. I was disappointed in the poor use of good talent. Proof that a fresh hook...poorly executed... does not make a watchable flick!! I wouldnt recommend this thing for free. You will know the ending in the first 5 minutes of watching. You can nap in the air condtioned theatre the rest of the time to make good use of your money spent...UMA and LUKE, you are so much better than the material in this thing, you should have just phoned your performances in. If I could have given this thing one-fourth of a star, thats all it deserved because of the actors and the super high concept notion. I love the romantic comedy genre.
