Normally you'd think that Dane Cook is in it that it'd be worth watching and hysterical. I think now, that whenever you see Dane Cook in a movie, you can assume its a dirty movie and the jokes arn't really as funny as you think when you see the commercials. Was this review helpful? We totally struck out with this movie. It was awful. I've seen worse, but I definitely wish I had not spent money or time watching this. Most of the reviews here talk about it being degrading toward women and it certainly is, but I think it is also extremely degrading to men to stereotype us as all being those kind of jerks and idiots. There were a few funny moments, but even the funny moments were few and far between. Was this review helpful? It is definately not for everyone!!!!! As a 40 yr.old mother of two, I too was pretty discusted with some of the crude references toward women. (Seems like Alec Baldwin is always playing the same type of character...is he like this in "real life"?)
I felt the chemistry between Kate Hudson and Dane Cook made up for it though. It is not at all the worst movie I have ever seen, but I could have waited for the DVD. Was this review helpful? So if some ladies criticize the profanities and the degradation directed towardds women... then all I can say is, welcome to the real world.... I thought the movie was fabulous... He takes them on horrible first dates that supposedly drive the girls back to their ex-boyfriends. Dustin (Jason Biggs) is Tank’s roommate, best friend, and “cousin”. When Dustin gets dumped by Alexis (Kate Hudson), a girl he is hardly involved with, he seeks Tank’s emotional terrorism to help him with the woman of his dreams. Tank’s lifestyle changes as he faces the challenge of his life while feeling tapped between his best man and the girl who has won his heart. We also get to meet Professor Turner (Alec Baldwin), Tank’s rude little pig (couldn’t resist) of a father who sleeps around with random women and expects nothing less from his son.
If you are a heavy-hearted individual, then you might not be able to enjoy jokes about the idea of women ending up with jerks and wasting away their lives (as if we don’t have enough hard time trying to make women realize they deserve better than abuse), kids being ill-treated by priests, and elderly falling off and getting hurt. However, this movie guarantees a good time to those who just want to have a laugh while watching a movie, without getting too deep into it and analyzing every move. The actors did a fine job with their body language to create humor, because frankly, the script was very weak. This movie could use a little more heart, wit, and a little less “a$$hole” (we get the point, Jordan Cahan; let it rest for a bit), but overall, it’s a fun production for us to enjoy. Yes, I laughed often and certain moments still bring a smile to my face, but this movie is so dirty! Dane Cook is hilarious and kinda cute and Kate hudson is, as always, adorable. Jason Biggs is good, but Alec Baldwin's character is a complete jerk. I had free tickets to get into this show and am glad I didn't spend my hard-earned money on the admission price. The language was disgusting and very degrading to women. It wasn't even funny,,, I am so surprised Kate would stoop so low as to act in this movie, and I use the word act loosely.

I wanted to walk out as well and I'm no prude, believe me. It's insulting to women and ignorant. I'd rather watch porn. At least it doesn't try to pass itself off as something it's not.
