Robin Williams is hilarious. He makes a great woman. ha ha ha. Anyways, all of the actors and actresses were excellent in playing their parts. Anyone looking for a great family movie, this is the one for you. :) Was this review helpful? In my opinion everything about this movie is great, the acting, the characters just everything. GOD BLESS EVERYONE! Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 4/1/2003A review of Mrs. Doubtfire by Anonymous MR. DOUBTFIRE IS SUPPOSED TO BE A COMEDY BUT, FOR ME, ALTHOUGH THERE ARE FUNNY MOMENTS, IT IS ANYTHING BUT A COMEDY! ROBIN WILLIAMS AND SALLY FIELD ARE BOTH AT THEIR BEST IN THIS MOVIE WHICH PORTRAYS PROBLEMS THAT EVOLVE WHEN TWO OPPOSITES TRY TO MAKE A MARRIAGE. THE LENGTHS THAT DANIEL HILLARD (WILLIAMS) GOES TO TO SPEND TIME WITH HIS THREE CHILDREN REALLY TUGGED AT MY HEART. HOW MANY FATHERS WOULD GO TO SUCH LENGTHS AS TO DRESS LIKE A WOMAN, BECOME A HOUSEKEEPER, AND THEN TAKE ON A SECOND JOB, JUST TO BE NEAR THE KIDS. PIERCE BROSNAN, WHO PORTRAYS FIELDS LOVE INTEREST, IS TERIFFIC! WHEN WILLIAMS PUTS AN OVERLOAD OF HOT SEASONINGS INTO BROSNAN'S DINNER, KNOWING HE IS ALLERGIC TO IT, CAUSING BROSNAN TO CHOKE IS THE FUNNIEST PART IN THE WHOLE MOVIE. OF COURSE, WILLIAMS LOSES HIS DISQUISE WHEN HE HAS TO SAVE BROSNAN. THE LOOK ON FIELD'S FACE IS REMARKABLE AND UNFORGETABLE WHEN SHE REALIZES THAT HER HOUSEKEEPER, AND CONFIDANT, IS REALLY HER EX HUSBAND. THE ENDING IS NOT CLEAR FOR THE THREE, THOUGH. IT LEAVES ONE WONDERING IF FIELDS AND WILLIAMS EVER GET THEIR MARRIAGE BACK OR JUST BECOME GOOD FRIENDS. THE YOUNGSTERS WHO PLAY THEIR THREE CHILDREN DESERVE A LOT OF CREDIT TO THE SUCCESS OF THIS MOVIE, ALSO. WITHOUT THE CHILDREN, THERE WOULDN'T BE A MRS. DOUBTFIRE. BY THE WAY, I BOUGHT THE MOVIE AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE. Was this review helpful? Robin Williams steals the show, as he usually does. Every scene is hallarious. Pure genius. Was this review helpful? Well, in this movie Robin is even ready to dress up as a sixty year-old woman. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-11 of 11 Per Page | ||
