Willam Hurts character was very well done. That voice is in everyone of us, just hopefully not as a serial killer. Demi Moore was also entertaining and as always easy on the eyes. Would highly recomend this if you can handle a little blood and a lot of imagination. Was this review helpful? Kevin was great and so was demie moore. The ending would have been better if they would have made his nightmare the ending!! Was this review helpful? I would have rather seen the first Halloween then to have so sit and watch this one again. I think the casting in this movie was horrible. Dane Cook....Give me a break...Dane should stick to comedy he is only half bad at that. In this movie he is way over his head, and totally unbelieveable. Demi Moore was the worst casting too. It is like watching Sandra Bullock trying to play a tough cop and doing it poorly...There were too many storylines in this movie and no resolution of the storylines at the end. I thought Kevin Costner was the only good casting this movie had. The part with William Hurt was also weird. The cast in a Dangerous Mind did the entire "imaginary" characters so much better. I would like to say this movie was very nice it wasn't perfect but it wasn't terrible. It had some really nice moments and of course (as I would think with all movies) some parts seemed to not quite make it but the ending I thought was fantastic. I quite enjoyed this movie I hope others will too. :] Was this review helpful? Kevin Costner was great and the supporting cast was good as well. The ending was a surprise...and Dane Cook was good playing a role out of his usual characters. I do recommend this movie if you like psychological thrillers. Was this review helpful? The family that kills together......I also thought the part of the dective played by Demi was overplayed, I especially like the part where two killers are shooting at her at point blank range but just cant seem to hit her. Not sure how she dodged 123 shots, but hey, its hollywood. I liked the ending, kind of made up for the whole movie. Kevin, isnt it time for another Kennedy conspiracy movie? Was this review helpful? beautifully filmed. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 9/23/2007A review of Mr. Brooks by Brandi1002 I loved the way the movie flowed. I had seen previews and wanted to see it in theatres but had to go out of town to San Francisco, and to my surprise it was in the movie rental thing in the hotel. When I was watching it I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I'm a big Dane Cook fan, and it was great to see him on the big sceen. He did a great job as Mr.Smith. The movie all together was fantastically original. I felt bad for Mr. Brooks halfway through. Don't listen to those snobby jerks who give this movie bad reviews, they obviously don't have taste in movies. There was alot of swearing, and this isn't the type of movie to take to the kids to, but I still enjoyed it. The ending was a surprise,(IM ABOUT TO GIVE SOMETHING AWAY!) and they shouldn't have made the daughter killing him a dream. it would've been a lot better. Even though it does open for a sequel. It was very well written, and is worth seeing! Was this review helpful? I have been thinking about the different twists and turns all night. Definately something to see for yourself. Go with an open mind and don't let the critics tell you the onesided opinions. Go and enjoy! Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 7/1/2007A review of Mr. Brooks by ASCHWEET We found this movie intriguing and very original. I thought Kevin was terrific as was all the cast. The story line kept my complete attention, because it was exciting and a good time at the movies!! We were there to be entertained, and that's exactly what this movie accomplished!! Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 6/22/2007A review of Mr. Brooks by Marosha0 I also was pleasantly surprised with this movie. It is about a killer but, Kevin actually has you feeling sorry for him in the end. He struggles with his addiction and at the same time may have a child with his problem. I didn't like the profanity, especially after seeing Oceans 13 where there wasn't any, but all in all a good movie. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 6/22/2007A review of Mr. Brooks by LUDDITE0 Kevin Costner is a one trick pony in this movie-----wait now------I'm trying to think of even one trick. The plot's not only a mess, it actually strives for mediocrity and reeks of desperation, especially during Demi's shootout with the bad guy, there are light bulbs exploding and sparks flying as she fearlessly presses forward. There ain't that many bulbs in Vegas, folks. This is bad. Just plain ludicrous. Was this review helpful? Sign In | ||
