NOT!!!! Of all movies that had a part 2 or 3, this was just out right dumb! Where the hell is Christopher Lambert? And why in the world did they put James Remar in his place? Christopher made me get chills when he talked, and James made me want claw out my ears. True I liked haveing some new blood in this movie, but why would they run away from the main plot of Mortal Combat. And why did the get people who tried too hard to act out parts that are soo easy to be. If they kept all the original cast and the first director this movie may have been another movie hit. People please speak up and let these Fools who kill our fav movies know that they need not quit their day jobs! And Mortal Kombat fans if you want do like I did and blow this movie up A.S.A.P Was this review helpful? It was just plain dull! The director must have been brain dead for not casting Christopher Lambert as Raiden or Bridget Wilson as Sonya. Their replacements were horrible. There were too many characters that people are huge fans of, (Baraka, Rain, Mileena, Smoke, Cyrax, etc...) and they would not be introduced until they fight someone, and then they die! What is wrong with that? The fight scenes looked too much like Power Rangers, and the special effects werent all out. There were some pretty good scenes, (Lui Kang versus Smoke, Sub-Zero versus Scorpion), but that was about it. Also, the script was horrible. Jax would normally curse a lot more than he actually did. You know Sonya you keep talking about mergers and realms and all, but it dont mean squat to me all right? Who sais squat now a days. We all know he was supposed to say s@, and it could still remain a PG-13 movie.
All togetherl, this movie let me down. Was this review helpful? But it is more fast-pacing then MK1. I gave it 3 stars for pretty good fighting,(except for that horrible part with the 2 dragons? fighting each other) but - 2 star for really bad acting and script.*shudders* Was this review helpful? Following its predecessors path in the story of Mortal Kombat, Annihilation proves to be a contender in martial arts films. Sharing some of the same actors as Mortal Kombat like Robin Shou and Talisa Soto and some added company make this film a character contender as well. If you liked the first Mortal Kombat, you need to finish the story with this film. Was this review helpful? Too bad they couldn't get the same actors (for the most part). Bad acting! Bad dialogue! Bad haircut on Rayden! Still, lotsa good fun to see most of the MK characters in action. A good throwaway movie to watch with a box of candy on a rainy Sunday. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-9 of 9 Per Page | ||
