Take the biggest star in Hollywood, put him in a mega action blockbuster, with Abrams directing, costarring a man who won the award for best actor, and this is what you get, a movie that rocks the box-office and blows audiences away. MI3 delivers the bang in a big way, Tom Cruise gives his top quality performance. The effects, the story, the action, the music, everything is so intense. Way better than your average action flick. MI3 the best installment yet, puts you right in the danger zone and thrills you again and again. You will believe the main characters emotion, you will believe the egotistic motivation of the villian. You won’t be able to believe the high risk over the top stunts. You might even discover that being bored during this film is simply...impossible. Was this review helpful? Ridiculous really doesnt seem a strong enough term for the action sequenses and the talents of Philip Seymour Hoffman are completely wasted on this chunck of fluff. There are some movies that are supposed to be action films- but really and truly are everything but action filled.Mission Impossible 3 was definitely different.It is one of those movies that makes you not want to miss a second of it. I just loved the way this movie started out. Already, I felt immediate tension.
As the movie went on, it flowed very well. I was very tired from getting little sleep from the previous day, but damn this movie kept me awake!
I also liked how Luther (the same actor from all three movies) was back in there and just made it that much better.
I kinda wished that Nya (Thandie Newton) came back, but oh well. I was surprised to find that Hawke was married and stuff, which found me a lil bit thrown because i was hoping to see Nya back again, but oh well.
Just overall, MI3 was SPECTACULAR! I cant wait to get it on DVD and watch it on my 5.1 system.
THANKS TOM-CAT, and give props to ur wifey!

Excellent movie that kept you on the edge of your seat - great action! Have walked out the the theater too many times disappointed... but tonight, was worth coming home to write about. The character development of the majors is better than most of the genre, and the love interest is just the right amount to carry the emotion of the protagonist to that flash point that is always necessary. Camera direction and cinematography is kept variable so that there is enough slow motion, soft focus or steadiy sequences to counter the frentic cameraman on crack action that is so popular these days, that ruined Matt Damons sequel, The Bourne Supremacy. The story is continuous with a neat prequel. It is adult in complexity with no sex or profanity, quite rare now. I subtracted one star because of the outraqeousness of the action, which was a whole lot of fun, and the inevitable inconsistency when the heros are usually perfect and superhuman but then get stupid. The end came too soon, which is always the clue a movie connects. And, oh, they left room for Part IV. Was this review helpful?
