The beggining is a bit confusing and slow, but once you beggin to understand the movie and what is going on you really get into it, and what a great story it is. The plot is great, entretaning every single second. I really thought it was a very good movie, very well directed, and the acting was excellent. Each one of the characters filled their role perfectly. The end is extremely moving, touching and sad. Was this review helpful? If a film of this stature gets at least 2 or more academy awards it should deserve a viewing, turns out that this movie had excelled my expectations. Parts of this movie was stomach turning and emotional I would recommend this film to anyone who is sick and tired of films that are bombarded with and laden with too much special effects. I like films with a good balance of Story & character driven plot mixed with a dose of visual and or special effects. Was this review helpful? This film is fab and since watching it I have encouraged others to see it too! don't miss out on this one i garentee you'll enjoy it, but if you get easily upset by things get the tissues ready!!! It was both beautiful and thought-provoking. I was so overwhelmed by the array of emotions I felt as I watched. I could not stop crying and the feelings stayed with me far after the movie was over. I did not expect much. I was blown away by the entire movie. Best show I have ever seen. I still think about the acting, producing, words can't explain the emotions it brought forth. I dont believe that three "A" list names in a hollywood drama constitute a great movie. It had a number of sub plots that it would vaguely mention and then abort. I will, however, admit that the acting was great. I found the boxing scenes uninspiring, and the character developement, though good, was not plausable. Very rarely does a movie do that. I wanted to see Clint and was surprised at how old he's gotten. But I knew Hilary Swank from "Boys Don't Cry" and was amazed at the transformation. this movie was a real tear- jerker and if I was a more sensitive person, I probably would've cried at some parts. I saw it the night before it won the Oscar, and I really felt it deserved it. One of the best movies that I've seen all year, and I've seen quite a few of them. Was this review helpful? Nowhere then. How exciting to see a lady punch with previous intuition about herself yet she knew her trainer better. i thought the end was gonna be bloody or winning like those rocky films.
i sat in the film real young, knowing downright superman heard his father's wife voice when it explained im simple mannerdont spin the earth backwards. ok then why did he spin it backwards for anyone if he knew... Well i knew pretty well enough to never mind creeves because he is gone.
But hillary is real for now, still making us fall for her in KARATE ii! hillary stay out of sight when you star in Terminator 4, the final episode of Star Wars, or best yet call me for anything when we, my people i mean, are making Religion Movie no. 1, maybe named A MISSING RELIGION.
