Date  Helpful Rating 1 out of 1 users found this helpful  Havent seen the whole movie yetPosted: 6/2/2004A review of May by Vampirebloodgoddess2 Alright i've been watching this movie for an extent of two days (breaking it up to be my break between studying) but so far the movie is... meh.. its not great and its not really all that bad, the beginning really caught my interest but then after that was constant "ok.. this is a bit odd." i'd have to say if you've got a twisted sense of enjoyment you'd probably enjoy this movie, but the way the movie is actually set up.. i think it could have been better. the plot is great, a social outcast in hopes to find a perfect friend chops up people to make a perfect friend as suggested by her mother as a child "i've always said if you cant find a friend, make one" i just think that the whole movie could have been acted out much better, better script and what not. though i still havent seen the end, got about oh, 30 minutes left to go.. but i have noticed that through the movie its quite predictable, bit too easy to know what will happen next, so May, i give you 3 stars, good idea for a movie but it could have been better Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful great movie !! i think this movie was very sad and deep with a very gently terryfing thing in it.It is a movie that i would recommend to people who like movies that are intense and are open minded to movies rather not typical .this movie is not a comedy like some critic's made it out to be, infact there is nothing funny in this movie! it's a phsycological drama with an element o horror in it !! i can say sincerely that i enjoyed the movie and it's definitly worth your time ! rent it ,see it at the theater or where ever u see it, but make sure u see it !!that is ,if u are into that diturbing phsyco thing:) i mean, the end was straigt up phsyco stuff!!:) with the hand holding her.............. see ya Was this review helpful? I thought that this movie was different and that is why i liked this movie, because this movie has different levels of emotions and may is a cool and different person in this movie. The actress who plays May comes off as oddly attractive and yet convincingly unhinged. For the first half of the film or so, you even forget that this is supposed to be a slasher flick. Once the gouging begins, though, it becomes a bit campy and formulaic. Not that that's bad, mind you. Was this review helpful? You can really relate to may enen when she begins to crack. I loved Angela Bettis her acting is first rate. She has become one of my favorite actresses after seeing this movie.
