I've been reading Marvel comic books ever since I was 8 yrs. old. My cousins who were grades above me read them and so I became interested. There began what would be my immersion and education into what was known then and now as the Marvel Universe. Thor, Iron Man, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Wasp, Ant-Man, The Silver Surfer, Captain America, The Hulk, Spiderman, Hawkeye and The Defenders all became my new off t.v. cartoon characters. This movie didn't disappoint me from the original Avengers line up. The Marvel heroes used here were more Hollywoodable. For years we wanted to see something like this but only got cheesy, cheap after school and Saturday cartoons and your competing or non-competing Justice League from DC. I had already been baptized in the waters of Marvel and there was no converting me via a cheap cartoon line-up from their camp. I held out for Marvel all the way. I can't wait for the Black Panther, Power Man and Iron Fist to be put in film and the great tie in they all will eventually have. Being a brotha it made me proud to see them in comic books. This movie scored BIG and that's from the stand point of the Hulk. The film team did a magical job with the special effects and the writers the plot line and build up of the story. Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Downey Jr. continues to surprise and appeal to me. Samuel from his prolific work as an actor and Hollywood icon and Robert Downey for his major Hollywood comeback and his dead on role as Anthony "Tony" Stark. This movie will definitely get five stars from me because I was entertained and held on the edge of my seat for the action. Keep the heroes coming and can't wait for the trilogies to continue.
