This is a good story on every type of loser who is supposed to make a losing team worse so nobody will show up to watch these guys. Wild Thing, in the Calif. Penal League, rides a motorcycle and has a punk haircut, Jake Taylor, a washed up womanizing catcher, Willie Mays Hayes who can run but can't hit, and Pedro Cerrano seems to be more interested in voodoo than playing, but can hit fastballs to the North Pole. Rachel Phelps, the new owner, finds all these rejects so she can get the team out of Cleveland and into Miami. When everyone learns her scheme, they revolt into a winning team. While all this is happening, Vaughn struggles with his sight and even has an affair with Suzanne, Dorn's wife; Taylor chases his ex-wife Lynn in an attempt to reconcile; Dorn tries not to get hurt and puts himself over the team and Pedro tries every voodoo trick in the book to hit anything that isn't a fastball. If you like root for the underdog stories, check this movie out. Heck, right now you might be rooting for a team similar to this one in some pro sport who hasn't won anything in many years.

I am truly a fan of Tom Berenger. He and the rest of the cast did a great job. I am also a baseball fan and enjoyed every moment of this movie. Smooth

Perhaps the greatest sports comedy of all time. Major league hits for the cycle through comedy, hilarity, romance, and laughs. A movie you can truly watch over and over again, with quotable lines that never get old.
