I enjoyed this movie at least enough to watch it all the way to the end, AND I find myself repeating a few lines from the movie from time to time. Wake up Mr. Alex, rise n shining. I thought this movie was pretty cute. Truly better than The Wild. My kids feel the same way I do, we own this movie, and didnt even finish The Wild. Was this review helpful? My daughters laughed along with me as we watched this wonderful movie. I guess that is why the critics are called that...because the are to critical on the wrong items...I mean anyone that thought The kiss of the spider woman could have won the Oscar in the 80s cant possible know where true talent lies and where trash begins. but this is my own personal opinion. I loved all parts of that movie. If theyre trying to criticize the story line, I also thought that was good. What do critics know?!? Theyre just trying to make a little more money by making theyre reviews a little more dramatic. Thats just sad...I loved it and I highly suggest families all over the world see it! I think it is very funny and it cracked my friends and I up several times. Some of the random songs they picked for parts of the movie were priceless. I saw this film in the theater and went away with a great feeling about what true friendship is about. Not a bad takeaway. The antics were hysterical and the penguins were definitely a highlight. I was also touched by the strong story threads of other animated films. But once in awhile, you just want to LAUGH!
The end-title music was outrageous. So much so that, 3 days later, my wife and I were still singing it. I later bought the soundtrack just for that song.
When it finally came out on DVD, I purchased and wacted it the same day.
I was pleaased to see the penguins given a short feature iof their own. Was this review helpful? It is one that you will watch for the little laughs that is gives. The penguins made the movie and they were only in it for about 15 minutes total. Needed more comedic performance and less of a cheesy story line....needed to be a little more spontaneous.....not so predictable next time Was this review helpful?
