This movie was disappointing from the start and no where near as engaging or entertaining as the first movie. My kids are addicted to the first movie and watch it frequently but they lost interest in this movie after about 30 minutes.

Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  it was okPosted: 11/14/2008A review of Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa by danetty757 i took my 6 year old daughter on Veteran's Day, and we were a little let down that there wasn't that much song and dance like on the previews. there was a bit too much "romance", which made it a little boring for her. usually, she is glued to her seat eyes forward, but after a while, she was a bit restless because the film didn't hold her complete attention, i thought it was boring too. i was excited to see what was going to happen to Alex with his parents, but it didn't go too much into it, and the seperation with the "gang" lost some direction. i wouldn't say i thought it was better than the first, but it was ok. with the movie prices these days, i'm just glad that we went early in the day. We had lots of laughs, all completely child humor, which I enjoyed because so many kids movies try to have hidden adult humor in them. We did get to see it in IMAX so it made it all the better. Great movie for my kids age group, will buy it on DVD when it comes out. The other reviews given must have been written by adults without kids and no sense of kids humor. Was this review helpful?
