It didnt make sense to go through the entire movie promoting change, potential, courage, a promising future...and to end it without any of these aspects...ummm great concept not much connection. it was pretty good though Was this review helpful? This was the most boring, politically motivated piece of junk I have ever seen. Robert Redford should run for office if he wants to espouse his political views not force them on the public disguised as "entertainment".

We need more films like this. Was this review helpful? If you submit feedback on this review in the future, we will overwrite your previous feedback. I have never walked out of a movie, I paid for it, I'm going to watch it no matter how much I disagree with the viewpoint or just in general don't like it. However, in this case I should heve walked out as soon as it started. If I wanted to watch Mr. Redford's political views about the present administration I should have saved my money, and more importantly, my time and waited for him to bring out a documentary on PBS, which is where this horribly acted fiasco should have been. Along with Cruise and Streep, Redford really stunk up the stage. If you saw this movie and know what these three "performers" are capable of, I cannot believe that anyone would even consider this as anything other than a very poorly expressed political statement of a has been loser. Mr. Redford, Shame On You! You can now keep your political beliefs to yourself because after this you have no credibility as an actor. Was this review helpful? Cruise should have passed this one up too.

The Gross didn't even cover Streep's salary. Unless, she did volunteer work.
When is Hollywood gonna wake up and realize that we Americans won't sit back and stand for this commie propaganda. Seems like everyone involved in the atrosity did very well here in A-M-E-R-I-C-A. Redford, Streep, and Cruise all grandstanding their political agenda's under the guise of acting. The movie was boring and a feeble attempt to sway the 5 people watching with me to accept their political views. No thanks! Save your money and sanity. Was this review helpful? Sign in 2 out of 2 users found this helpful Posted: 11/20/2007A review of Lions for Lambs by DRF3 I saw this movie after reading numerous critical reviews on this site and consequently went to this movie not expecting to see a very good film. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a movie that treated a serious subject in a thoughtful way. When I left the theater, I felt more like I had just watched a commentary on PBS rather than seeing a movie, a point-counterpoint discussion between Pat Buchanan and Michael Moore presenting the conservative and liberal sides of US’s involvement in Iraq. Rather than being told which side to support leaves it up to the viewer to decide for himself. The movie does not present any new information and anyone the least bit aware of what is going on has already heard most of the arguments before. I was glad to be given a movie that challenged me to think for myself without telling me what to think or believe.
If you like thoughtful movies, I think this movie is worth a look. I enjoyed it, but I can see why others might not. Was this review helpful? Sign in 1 out of 3 users found this helpful Posted: 11/19/2007A review of Lions for Lambs by an unrecognized user I truly think this is the most important movie to hit the screen in my lifetime. I've never been more appalled by the selfish nature of this administration, masquerading as purveyors of peace and good will when in reality only furthering their self serving motives. We as blind lambs believe whatever is shoved down our gullets and the most appalling thing is Americans can't wake up and open their eyes to see what really is going on. We are universally scorned around the world (even from our allies)for our support of an administration which not only has caused us to pay $3.50 a gal for gas, made us LESS secure and created so many more American-hating factions, gave up on a hunt for the man who took down the WTC to go in - UNPROVOKED into a country hoping to set up a presence to get more oil. Wake up. It's time we stop letting an evil puppeteer manipulate a brainless mouthpiece. This movie holds a mirror up to the ugly reality of the face and fate of america. Was this review helpful? Sign in 0 out of 1 users found this helpful Posted: 11/18/2007A review of Lions for Lambs by Dan-the-Man First, I love a good political drama ... but this film felt way too preachy to me. I think the dialoge was too heavy handed. I also think Tom Cruise, while a gifted actor before he became Koo-Coo, was not up to par. I think his acting in this movie was very poor, and he was obviously trying to prove himself too hard. Robert Redford's acting was even worse.
Save your money, don't see this movie, it's not even good enough for your Netflix queu. Was this review helpful? If you submit feedback on this review in the future, we will overwrite your previous feedback. Sign in | ||
