It makes it that much more charming that the characters are both strong willed and independant. It makes that resounding crash of falling in love that much more fulfilling. I especially loved the fact that this movie has brought back the ideals of a gentleman, versus the rogues we are so use to now. One word...charming. Was this review helpful? Clever dialogue (praise to the scriptwriter!)<br>kept me in stitches nearly the whole time. Scenes such as the hired car passing by the duo were inspired. Bravo and more more more! My favorite scene in the movie was the one when they awoke the next morning after sleeping together. This movie has humor,love and keeps you guessing if the relationship will ever work out for keeps. It fit into the romantic comedy genre template, and didn't have much to distinguish itself except for its stars. However, it was still a pretty entertaining movie. Although I am young, (I am only 16), I watched it with my 4 yr. old daughter, and she laughed too. Pierce Bronson reminds me of my baby's daddy. He is not a lawyer, but he talks a lot of BULL****. It meade me laugh constantly. Julianne Moore is probably at her best. She is one of the greatest actresses out there. I loved the scenes where Julianne Moore and Pierce Brosnan were getting along when they were living together for that short time. Out of the whole movie i loved the whole thing just the same. I have not the slightest doubt that "He IS... Bond, James Bond." However, it is too much shootemup for to watch the new 007 movies. I identify him with Remington Steele, so this new Laws of Attraction is on my wavelength. I realize that (jeepers) nearly twenty years have passed since Remington Steele ended, but those years on Pierce Brosnan's face look just fine. Interesting sidebar: I watched this with a cousin whose father resembles Robert Redford; but the coming attraction (I guess the name is "trailer") for his latest movie shows Redford no longer "very well preserved." We were both sorely dissappointed. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good romantic comedy as much as the next guy, I guess. Anyway I just expected much more from the movie. Brosnan's character was simple yet charismatic and very smooth as always. I've always liked Julianne Moore as well but in this movie she could not act! And I'm not one of those guys that goes to a movie to search for plot holes and inconsistent character developments. I go to be entertained so it's easy for me to get $#^!ed into a good movie. This was not one. The plot was cheesy and extremely cliche. I guess the director forgot that some people require at least a minimum amount of intelligence mixed in to hold their attention.
