I don't care for SVU (which I often satirize as SUV); though the actors are brilliant and it has its high points, sex crime plots get old. Criminal Intent is a one-hour bore and Trial by Jury was a disaster--on those points I agree with the reviewer. Too bad that Dragnet didn't last; it was a good update on L.A. even though it's not the same without Jack Webb.
The original Law & Order is far superior to the others, and Dick Wolf ought to revamp it. Why not have Elizabeth Roehm come back in a cameo role in the way that Richard Brooks and Carey Lowell did in past programs? She could play a great advocate for the victims of law and order according to George W. Bush (and his shill F. Dalton Thomas). I think Dick Wolf should focus his enegies on the original; we need to continue with drama ripped from the headlines. Was this review helpful? Lenny Brisco made the show. I can watch the same episodes over and over again and never get tired of them. This is the best drama show ever that has kept me watching season after season. Keep up the great work! Was this review helpful?
