I first saw this movie as a preteen in the early 90s and it was instant love. At first viewing, I liked Sarah (Jennifer Connelly) best, identifying closely with the young girl who wanted to live in a fantasy world rather than boring old real life. However, a second time watching it had me falling in love with Jareth (David Bowie) the Goblin King, who seemed to be frightening and romatic at unpredictable intervals. The character of Sarah was well played, if a little overdramatic, but then again, what teenage girl isnt overdramatic at time? However, Jareth was the true star of this movie in my view, at turns the arrogant villian and then the romantic suitor, who did all he could to please the girl. The goblins and the three friends Sarah meets along the way are hilarious to watch and a favorite of the second generation of Labyrinth fans in my home, namely my son. The musical score is brilliantly written, from the hilarious Dance Magic Dance to the oh so romantic As the World Falls Down. Overall, I think this movie is a wonderful reminder that not everything is what it seems and a prime example of be careful what you wish for. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to rediscover a little bit of the magic of dreams.

I first saw this movie on the old Disney channel, back when the Mickey Mouse Club, Zorro, Spin and Marty, So Wierd, Jett Jackson, and The Jersey were all popular 1 shows! When Disney changed and stopped showing all those good-time shows, I know that not only I, but many others as well, were ectremly disappointed especially at the age of about 6 or 7. As I looked through a Super Wal-Mart when I was about 11 years of age, one DVD caught my eye for some reason. I stopped and looked at it for awhile and then realized it was the show that I had instantly fell in love with so long ago. I showed it to my mother at the time and that night it came home with us and was in the DVD player before anyone could say Labyrinth. This movie is so wonderful and I can never get enough of it!!! I am so exstatic when I get the complimint that I resemble Jennifer Connelly!!! I absolutely adore her! I guess the fact that at one point in my life, I had that exact same outfit she wears throughout this sensational movie!!!

This movie came out before I was born, but ever since I was little my step mom would watch it with me. It’s her favorite movie and it’s one of my favorites as well. When I was younger I thought David Bowie was the most gorgeous guy in the world, and I always wanted to be Sarah. If you have younger siblings like I do, and you wish to get rid of them, watch the Labyrinth and you’ll think twice. This movie is perfect for anyone who loves David Bowie, or fantasy films. I’m watching it for the third time this weekend, because I love the songs and the characters so much.

I LOVE this movie. I mean love it. I've been watching it since i was really little and even while growing up, i still love it. I'm only 15, but it's a movie i'll watch for the rest of my life. Telling you you dont' have to grow up. Keeps you young. A movie to help remind you you're still young...

Labyrinth is one of the best films ever made. It stars David Bowe and Jennifer Connley and is about a teenage girl who wishes her younger brother away. Jareth, the goblin king, (played by Bowe) does all that he can to keep Sarah (Connley) from getting her younger brother back. I first saw this film over ten years ago and it is still, to this day, the best film I've ever seen. I recommend this movie to anyone that likes fantasy or just enjoys a movie with a *HOT* Actor (Bowie) in it. ^_^

Let's see...fifteen-year-old girl wishes away her whiny brother (boy can I relate to that!), she has to go rescue him from the horrible fate of becoming a goblin, add a wicked soundtrack and David Bowie as evil-yet-gorgeous Jareth dancing around in tight pants to a killer beat...yes, this is a stupendous movie, excellent for Bowie fans (like me), fantasy fans (like me), and music fans (ditto). Perfect for anyone between the ages of five and...well, pretty much until you die. WE LOVE YOU ZIGGY

This movie was so confusing. All I saw was big hair, funny looking creatures and bad actors.David Bowe gives a disappointing performance and Jennifer Connelly gives us a performance that was awful. This movie was a bad excuse for a Wizard Of Oz knock off. I hated this movie so much even though it had lack off color in it's setting. The songs were bad and the costumes were awful. I hate this movie so much that I'd rather watch Gigli than this.

This is the best movie ever! I just recently bought it and it reminds me of being a kid. Sarah wishes her brother to a Goblin King and has to go get him because she didn't mean to. Along the way she meets new freinds and they help her get her brother back. It is such a magical movie that kids will love! David Bowie has written some great songs for this movie as well. Some of my favorites!

This movie came out when I was a one-year-old, and the first time I saw it I probably was not more than 3. Every time I watch Labyrinth, I get chills up my spine seeing David Bowie reveal himself to "Sarah" in the beginning, because it reminds me of how much I was in love with him. A timeless masterpiece that (if made in this day and age)could not be done as it is still. If I only had three words to describe the impact it had on me than, it would be: daring, sophisticated, and rocks. You rock Ziggy!!

Yes, It is the epitome of the over-generalized 80's fantasy movies we all know and love. While not as artistic as Legends, perhaps, or as bloody as Terminator, It's most likely one of the best films from the decade.

David Bowie, brilliantly cast as the suave, arrogant, amused Goblin King of the Labyrinth, brings the role to life. Sarah comes through as the stubborn, idealistic naieve heroine. And we get dark, evil, twisted muppets on heroin. Bloody brilliant!
If you see no other 80's fantasy...see this, it's worth it. Dance, magic dance. Dance magic dance indeed.
