I liked this mini series a lot and was disappointed that it was cancelled after its initial first season. I particularly liked the acting of Yancy Arias as the suave, highly educated head of the the Cadenas family "business" who, having been exposed to a Stanford University education, is conflicted by his desire to conduct the family's business in a new way, without resorting to violence, yet keenly aware that there are times when nothing but violence will accomplish what he has to do. He suffers for the good of the family no matter what. His brother Chato, also acted superbly by Bobby Cannavale, suffers no such conflict. For Bobby, all disputes, whether business or not, are resolved by violence. He knows no other way. The plot is a constant tug of war between old and new ways; family loyalties and new alliances; and always having to look over your shoulder while keeping one step ahead of your enemies. It kept my interest, having watched all six hours, and I would have liked to see it continued. Maybe it will be in the future.

this is a good show. Kinda reminds me of a Mexican version of Godfather. It's a good show, but there's room for improvement.

Kingpin is a very intersesting series, with some negative parts, but very well acting. Arias is spectacular in this performance. Cannavale plays a tragic role as Miguel Cadena's brother. The troubles of the character reveal Cannavale's true ability to act. Some intense scenes.
