Sign In 1 out of 2 users found this helpful Posted: 1/24/2003A review of King Kong by SilverFoxByTheBeach Most of us can count on one hand the films we've seen that, arguably have no wasted scenes in them. King Kong is such a film. It knows where it is going from the first. Whats truly amazing is that it only came along four years or so after sound was introduced in movies and has one of the best soundtracks--in terms of synchronicity--ever made. For instance, review the native chief advancing on Denham's film crew. Every step is underscored by music that heightens our sense of fear. Makes you wonder how they could have gotten it so right sixty years ago. The mixture of pure American hokum mixed with hair raising adventure and danger is unmatched today. One can only hope that Peter Jackson--who has already written a wonderful new script--will get the green light to re-make this classic. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-8 of 8 Per Page | ||
