Date  Helpful Rating 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  pleasantly surprisedPosted: 10/13/2006A review of Just Friends by liberalrocker i liked this movie very much. i liked how they showed all the hilarious fight scenes between chris and mike. i loved when he broke down the door in the bathroom after mike calls him a homo! lol! i dont know how people cant like this movie. i know that if youve seen it, you must have laughed at least once! i guess people like jdld and Caboose are just blinded from their inability to write a detailed review to see how good this movie is, despite its slight reminisance to shallow hal. most people think its a rip off, but most of those people are grumpy senile men who have nothing better to do than talk about those damn teenagers and their stupid movies! oh...... fo sho! Its about highschool revenge and how holding a grudge never works out. It has everything needed to ensure a great comedy. Dumb humour, physical comedy, movie make-up, fat suits, and a romantic ending. I went with my friends and all I have to say is we were laughing so hard and so loud. Although the bulk of the humour does come from Anna Farris and Ryan Renolds, and the rest of the characters mostly add the dramatic element. In conclusion its very entertaining, it has a great ending, it has a great cast. Enough said. Was this review helpful? I thought it would be fairly funny but I actually ended up laughing through the entire movie. Other reviews are saying its predictable, but it wasnt at all. The characters are unforgetable and each one has a totally different personality, its when you combine them all together that it becomes interesting. Deffinetly go see this movie. I figured it would be just another one of those guy gets the girl in the end movie, but Just Friends exceeded my expectations! Though it ends in the true love story fashion, I found that the laugh out loud comedy made this movie something different. The relationships that Reynolds has with each character are hilarious. From his mom, to his brother, to his physco tag along friend Samantha---they really make this movie stand out. Though the beginning was a little slow, it soon turned into a string of misfortunate events that keep you rooting for the underdog throughout. Overall I thought that Reynolds performance was excellent as well at the rest of the cast. Although I rave this movie, I failed to give it the full 5 stars...perhaps if Reynolds would have taken his shirt off a little more....nah...Im only joking! GREAT MOVIE! Was this review helpful? Anna Faris is really the only one who made it funny. I was surprised Ryan Reynolds wsnt that funny but he was in second place!!! if u want 2 see this movie wait till it comes out on video and DVD.
