She does not list it on her website, nor is she credited for it anywhere else...I think you are reading WAY too much into this. I don't think I know any conservatives that are encouraging teens to get pregnant because it is cute.

Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful love itthis is a great movie. i mean, the whole teenage pregnancy thing might not be very appropriate, but i loved the little jokes- like when she sees Su-chin outside the abortion clinic--"Bligh! I'm a kracken from the sea!" heh heh....--and the pieballs! probably one of the funniest little jokes in the movie, next to the beginning with the casheir's little pokes. and i just gotta give kudos to Mike Cera----hilarious O face!!!! I didn't realize it was so deep. As to Juno's character and thought process not being like a 16 year old. I disagree. She was immature and funny in her own quirky way. But then again she also had to be mature. Her mother abandoned her at a young age which probably prompted her to mature a little and then having such a young sibling at that age will help a young lady mature. Plus most girls when they get pregnant I would hope would try to think more grown up. I thought this movie was good and deep. Was this review helpful? She claims she is not preaching in the movie about pro-life and that "Juno" is about people struggling to make real decisions in the real world, but people who know anything about real teenage pregnancies know that it is not some cute little thing that happens to young girls. Atleast the statistics, starting from illiteracy, earing power, etc of teenage girls show that teenage pregnancy effects young women in a negative way for the rest of their lives. It is just amazing what the conservatives will do to hammer in irresponsible ideas into people just to support thier cause which at this time is pro-life, and it ain't no cute! Juno, the main character, was unlike any 16 year old I have ever met and more like a grown women in how she talked and her overall thought process. Her smart mouth and annoying behavior lasted entirely too long. I thought the credits would never get here. Was this review helpful? It was like forcing yourself to see some grown up whenever you saw Juno to tell yourself "alright, take a breath, she's old enough to talk such way,behave such way, dontget zapped"
All in all, seemed like the writer's own story and writing a script now of what she'd like to have said and behaved on this 16 year old character. Was this review helpful? I ended up adoring Page's sardonic humor and multifarious speech. I thought Garner played a wonderful character who was fairly believable as a person. Overall, I enjoyed the reality of it. The story moved fluidly as well, for it wasn't a slow cavalcade.
I highly suggest seeing it. The music's pretty decent in it as well. Was this review helpful? I was expecting a lovely, quirky movie and what I saw was a warm, beautiful, hilarious, huge heart of a movie. Loved it more than I can convey. All of the actors did a fabulous job (IMHO).
