-There were way too many plot holes to count. I mean, Samuel L Jackson's character would get off the ledge eventually. And then he would just come back to kill David, no problem. And what was going on with David's mom? They never explained that. Was she just whorin' around having kids everywhere? It made no sense. And what happened to the other jumper? Did he just disappear? Whatever.
-The characters were shallow and anything but well-rounded. Ok, they gave us plenty of depth on David, but I would expect his character to be a little more bitter towards the world. Instead he was all caring and forgiving. No way that would happen in real life. And his little lover girl... What a strong individual. She can really look out for herself.
-There was tooo much going on in the action sequences. They were freaking confusing! I had NO IDEA what was going on half the time. It was a just a blur of special effects and electric zapping. Screw that.
Overall, Jumper was really, really, really BAD. I do NOT reccomend it at all. AT ALL. Was this review helpful? It may seem a little unoriginal, but the concept is what I would want to see in a hero movie. Compared to Hancock this movie is equal as far as special effects go. I hope they go thru with making the Jumper Trilogy. Samuel L. Jackson was great as a villain. I almost hated him for a second. Bottomline: Go see it. Was this review helpful? This movie is good for all ages in my opinion. Someone told us that they thought it was a movie for younger people (we are both around 40) and that wasn't true at all. I think little kids all the way up to seniors will like this movie. It completely kept our attention every second. We both loved the Matrix movies and for some reason Jumper reminded me a little bit of the Matrix, even though the story line was very different. We will definitely be looking for a Jumper II!! So I rented the DVD. 15 minutes into the movie, the "HERO" jumps into a bank and steals ("I'll pay this back.... someday.")
The hero was a troubled teen full of angst, bullied and had a wet dream girl who he liked and wanted to date. When the hero used his powers, he caused damage to everything around him.
Mask was about an employed, bullied guy also full of angst with a wet dream girl he liked and wanted to date, that when he discovered the power of the mask he was wearing, decided to rip off a bank because he needed money. I guess the major differance was he wasn't going to pay the bank back.
After 15 minutes into watch Jumper, I shut it off. The author of the movie was channeling MASK for his story line, I am always disturbed when we show our children it is alright to steal. Plus Jim Carey is much funnier.
This movie had potential. Many of the Super hero movies are very entertaining and I enjoy them very much. This one just didn't work. Was this review helpful? It was very good. I was kind of between 4 & 5 stars. We both liked the movie very much. The actors were all perfect for the roles. The lead male actor was very handsome and interesting with great eyes. The movie was very suspenseful, action packed, and raced along. There was great depth in the characters. We didn't get to see the end because my husband became ill. He almost wondered if it was the jumping around of the camera. Has anyone else experienced or heard of any effects like this from seeing this movie? I didn't have any dizziness or anything. Hubby probably just has a virus or something.
I highly recommend this movie. It will appeal to all ages and keeps you thinking. You won't go wrong seeing this one. We will have to go back because we don't know how it ends.

Teleporting all across the world, robbing banks and dashing to the refrigerator was a clever, high concept idea and this film was truly an awesome flick. It gave me that comic book atmosphere with the possibilities of future realistic heroes and bad guys. Who needs guns when you can teleport and throw buses at your enemy.
David Rice, (Hayden Christen) realizes from an early age he could teleport. After leaving home and years later, he’s wealthy and lives in a cool New York downtown bachelor pad, popping in and out of places around the world, only to realize he’s not alone. Jamie Bell, the punk Jumper introduces himself to David and shows him the other side of the Jumpers life. Millie (Rachel Bilson) his long lost high school love is now a part of the Jumper world.
Jumpers are a race of people that are hunted down by (The Jumper Slayers). Samuel L. Jackson, (Sisqo) the white haired character is the head slayer. Jackson was magnificent in this roll. I couldn’t see another actor playing this roll. The action scenes were filmed from Tokyo to Egypt and were all well executed. Teleporting buses in the fight scenes to removing half of an apartment to escape the danger. Every time someone would teleport, the room shakes, papers fly, and bad things happen. The jump hole stays open for someone else to leap through. The action was definitely there.
Working with a very talented cast and crew, Director, (Doug Liman) gave his audience what they came to the theater to watch, an entertaining action adventure film. He knows how to keep a film interesting. We could see the little things stand out. We’ve seen it before, (The Bourne Identity). Kudos to David Goyer, Simon Kinberg and Jim Uhls for a well scripted screenplay. The entire cast, Hayden Christensen, Samuel L. Jackson, Jamie Bell, Katie Boland, Rachel Bilson, Dianne Lane and Teresa Palmer should be very proud of this entertaining film.

I usually look up all the films, to see which onces im intrested in, and this didn't really look my thing...BUT i was mistaken, this film was full of action.It helps me to consontrat on the film when there are very good looking actors. I really enjoyed ths film but everyone has diffferent taste.So before you make your mind up your mind to wether you like it or not WATCH it.
Action,Romance and a hit of comedy!!
