A somewhat confusing but ultimately satisfying movie set in contemporary Ireland. Several stories and characters are interwoven into a caper/love lost love regained/ bad guy good guy movie. Irish accent tough to decipher sometimes but worth the effort.

I must admit I am not a Fan of Colin "snort" Farrell. But after watching Phonebooth and this film I am hooked.

In Intermission Farrell plays a bad guy, in its truest sense, has no moral code in his body. And oh does he pull it off so well. In the first scene I know most in the audience (women) were oozing with take me home Colin, and then bam the sharp intake of breath heard in the cinema was loud. It was worth it to see the film for this scene alone, but there is so many and the acting in it is wonderful.

For those people who do not know the Irish "lingo" a ronnie is a small mustash found on a young teen. This scene is another gem.

There are many scene's that are memorable in this movie and you are really brought on a ride throughout the film. But to some it up Go to the film and you will never think of Tea or Coffee in the same way every again, and you just may be tempted to try it out.

i saw intermission a few months back in dublin. the best part was, without a doubt, the beginning! it gets the film started with a bang!! when you see it, you'll understand! the one thing i really liked about it was the reality of DUBLIN BUS! everyone in the cinema couldn't help but laugh as it paints a picture which is very close to life. farrell and killian murphy play their parts tremendously. overall, a great movie with an even better cast. however, it might not be everyones cup of tea.
