I will never forgive Jason Statham and Ray Liotta for "In the Name of the King" like I will never forgive Kevin Bacon for "Death Sentence", or the studio that green lighted "Dragon Wars". Horribleness of EPIC PROPORTIONS. This movie is sooo bad, that it actually makes the "Jane Austen Book Club" sound interesting. This movie is the "Lord of the Rings"s retarded little brother.
I especially love how no one seems to bother to explain how a farmer became a badass swordsman fighter or how kung fu was introduced into the medeival era. THIS MOVIE IS STILL GOING... oh thank god, it just ended after a climatic end scene in Harry Potter's library. The only thing worse than the dialogue and acting is the soundtrack. I think the Sci-Fi channel actually turned this one down. Lesbian wood rangers are a plus, but they also cannot act. Uwe Boll was clearly trying to cast spells 8 levels above his experience points... this is why we don't let nubians roll. Was this review helpful? ive sat thru many a movie
this one i turned off.
with a cast as good as this it should have been better
the fighting sences were aweful (worse than dragon ball the movie)
the costumes were hilarious can be found at wal-mart
hopefully Jason Strahn will read the script and see who's directing the fight sequences
before signing the next movie contract. he gets thumbs up in most movies.
after sukering me into renting this i'll think twice next time. Was this review helpful? The only thing that can be said for it is that Jason Statham is really hot. I laughed alot, so if you go, bring friends with good sense of humors. The writing is terrible, the directing is terrible, the acting is really horrible. And these are good actors! They should all have their agents taken out back and shot. Was this review helpful? It was so horrific, the audience (myself included) laughed hysterically over what was supposed to be the most serious parts.
I'm in shock! To complain about In the Name of the King would be like complaining about a train wreck or a ruptured spleen.
