Date  Helpful Rating 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Is It Worth The Trouble?Posted: 10/27/2004A review of I Love Trouble by Leslie0478 I can't sound too concerned about this movie because it is so predictable that from the very beginning it seems pointless to criticize it because you didn't trust your own judgement. It wasn't meant to be suspenseful or even realistic, for that matter. It is the story of two rival newspaper reporters. They are rivals until they are forced into a situation where they have no one else to depend on and together they dodge bullets and catch the bad guys.
The only problem is that this story that they are on reads like something out of marvel comics. Something about a wonder hormone drug that causes cattle to produce more milk that ususal but also causes cancer to those who drink it.
With there being nothing else much going on we are forced to hear the two main characters deny there attraction to each other until the last minute.
I wasn't really offended or anything but it is noticeable that it could've been better. How much you like this movie largely depends on how much you like Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts. Both do what they can with what they have to work with but it's a comic book story interspersed with a romantic comedy.
It's not very realistic. Chances were it wasn't meant to be anyway.
So, enjoy it for what it is (or was) a harmless, inoffensive timekiller of a movie probably no worse than many others just like and probably even better than a lot out there.

To me she's beautiful, smart, intellegent, and a really good actress. SO I Love Trouble is another really good movie to watch.
