The initial scene of the Hulk was great to look at but then they screwed it up with making him grow about 12 feet tall. Keep it simple people. His villians were three dogs on steriods which I thought was lame but I'll get over it. But the line stops when you bring his father in and turn him into electro man. Give me a break. That was the cheeziest, most uncreative villian to choose. There are way better villians to choose from in the comics. Another thing is these people have got to stop using actors that do not belong in these movies. You need people that can become these characters not people that can simply play the part. Very boring and drawn out movie. Could have been awesome. Marvel will make it's own called the Incredible Hulk and that should be something to see. Was this review helpful? Nice graphics and especially with the facial expression of the animation. The ending is beautifully done, leaves it open for a sequal.. and yno thatll be great. The Hulk was a great movie. I do not read the comics and I understood everything. From the moment it started, I couldnt take my eyes off the screen. People say that there wasnt enough Hulk in it, well think of how hard it must be to animate something that freakin huge. The dog scene was awesome(I read a review that said They were running from A POODLE and thought, Well guess what...it was a killer poodle, along with two other killer dogs, stupid. And if I remember correctly, which I know I do because I just watched it last night, Betty was the only one running because shes human and those dogs were mutated killers. The hulk fought them, so I dont know WHERE that person got his or her side of the poodle scene) the beginning was a little dull, but the rest rocked. I would definately reccomend this movie, but it does get a little scary for children. Was this review helpful? I was expecting a lot of action and not much dialouge, but I was wrong. There was a lot of stupid dialouge and not enough action. Above that, it was too damn quiet for The HULK. I wanted to unplug the tube and shock myself with the extension cord just for watching this horrific piece of trash. I seriously could have if I had known that it was completely pointless and stupid. Daredevil was way better than this idiotic movie. Dont even bother to rent or own this movie. Beleive me, it is the complete definition of stupid. Was this review helpful? The things that made me rate it one star short are the changes made to the original story of Hulk's origin. Starfish DNA + Scientist DNA + Gamma Rays? Another is the Hulk's size. His suppose to be 7 ft tall and not bigger than a tank. But for such a size his body was in good proportion compared to the one in the comics. And Lastly, his dad. This part of the movie clearly came from the director's head. Stil, the Hulk was crashin n trashin everything except his girlfriend, just the way the marvel character is. And my favorite, Hulk's super-jumping ability was also in the movie and was presented well. And for those who failed to appreciate it, you just don't know the Hulk like I do. If you don't appreciate the character, you can't appreciate his movie. I am sure the sequel will have more Hulk action. Was this review helpful? It had some very good parts to it as well as some very bad ones.
THE BAD:
Bad no.1: This is the HULK origin, a character that has lasted for about forty years in the comic book industry within the marvel universe, and has been an american cultural icon for generations of children who still remember him fondly into their adulthood. You don't pit a character like this, after finally receiving a good movie contract, with a few gamma irradiated dogs. One of them being (oh, the horror) a poodle!?!
Bad no.2: As time went on in the film, the Hulk began to grow larger and larger. In the comic book world he has gone through many changes but to suggest that he's going to constantly get bigger is ridiculous. By the end of the second film will he be knocking down buildings like Godzilla?
Bad no.3: Was it just me or did Bruce Banner seem a little too buff?
Bad no.4: Of course, the fathers ending. Just plain goofy and wrong.
THE GOOD:
Good no.1: I didn't mind the pace of the film at all. Some people call it long. I call it character development.
Good no.2: The effects were actually better than I thought they would be. The action was great.
Good no.3: Great actors.
Good no.4: Dispite what I put down on the "bad" list, the director did and excellent job with most of the film. The "panels" were great.
The biggest mistake most directors and producers have historically made in the past with these kind of films are in the quote,"If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
For some reason these people feel that they can disregard something that has been working for decades. I realize that in movies, you have to be able to relate to the not comic book fans, at the same time not pissing off the fanboys but it CAN be done. Blade, Xmen, spiderman, first Superman, second Batman, and so on.
I do think the next Hulk movie is going to be a lot better. Was this review helpful? The actual Hulk guy was really well genreated, the only part in the movie that got me thinking, 'What the hell was that?' was when the guy was getting blownup from the bullet or whatever he shot, and he like, froze in the air while the fire circled him. Lol. Anyways, I guess I didn't really care for the Hulk as a Marvel movie, I just really went to see it because of Eric Bana. Lol. What?! He acted well, except he doesn't look good with a beard at the end. XD You guys can rate this review as non-helpful, because I would'nt imagine it would really be. Hey, did anyone else kind of feel sorry for poor Bruce Banner? Depressed Childhood, no memories, a father who is a lunatic and also doesn't give a rats behind about his only son. Lol. And, to top it all off, his girlfriend dumped him AND his DNA is messed, so he turns into a creepy green guy. X) Poor Bruce. Was this review helpful? I hated it There had better not be a sequel or i will kill someone. some of the parst were so stupid it was funny... like when they were running away from A POODLE i do not reccommend this movie at all... for a 2 hr and 20 minute "action" movie, there was 7 minutes of action. There was ONE good part about the movie and it was when the guy got electricuted. jeez, at first i just thought..." oh well, its just the beginning, and thats always boring", but then the beginning lasted for an hour and 45 minutes. not fun... not fun at all... <br>Dont see this movie... it @&*$ed Was this review helpful?
