Normally they are not even an hour and a half!! So I don't know how you can call a two hour movie "too long." How is 2 hours long? Was this review helpful? The cast is stunning, it had a promising premise, but it definitely disappointed. It would've been better had it focused JUST on Justin Long/Gennifer Goodwin's characters: they're cute, zany, dysfunctional and everything that the previews implied the entire movie was. The rest of the characters are just depressing.
As a college student, it doesn't give me much hope for what adult dating life has to offer. Most of us don't want to go to a chick flick solely to be reminded how much guys stink and how desperate women put up with losers. It was depressing, overacted, too long, and definitely not what I expected. Was this review helpful? There is no plot to the story except that the boys just dont like the girls if they dont call. The movie has no morals and shows people commiting adultery. It is so boring but occasionally has random funny bits. If I were you I wouldnt bother wasting your money seeing it at the movies, not even on dvd. :| Was this review helpful? Anyway, I thought it was so good, I've had a few friends that act like the crazy neurotic, girl who keeps calling the guy asking for advice. It is so dead on to how women and men interact.

Four key people seek out investors for a project refered to as "heartfelt". These four people promise an audience based on star pull alone then they begin to search for a script. Production cost is kept low. Inexpensive sets, little to no make-up, little to no costume, little to no muscial score.
The only peolpe going to see this movie are pseudo intellects whom imagine their own relationships may mirror those of the pretty people on the screen.
Please do the economy a favor and stop making trash like this. Did you know the year is 2009 and there is a vast amount of technology and man power available to you to make a great film? Why not swing for the stars with each screenplay you put into production.
These types of movies are best left in their original OFF BROADWAY stage format. The only need there is to produce this trash is to fill the pockets of the actors.
I hate you for making this waste of time and I hate the audience you pander to, both are a disgrace to society. This is not entertainment in any way what so ever. You cannot claim to be producing witty and intelligent cinema when you throw this trash in the face of your expected viewer.
Horrible horrible horrible thing. This is not film this is weekday soap opera rubbish. Stop producing garbage for the sake of the industry. You got lucky you made a few money making movies, that doesn't give you the right to produce garbage for the rest of your carreer. Was this review helpful? Friends first with an open and honest communication system pays off in the end more times than you can ever imagine. Countless women can admit that when they first met their FUTURE husband ...marriage was the last thing on thier mind... fun friendly communication (maybe advise) was shared often ...and (usually) he was lucky to even get that first date. If you want that...then see it.

This IS a CHICK FLICK!! Don't expect anything deep here. It makes a ton of valid points for those of us girls who "...just don't understand why he doesn't call". There's a very logical reason. This movie was cute. Perhaps even a good date movie, wouldn't recomend for a first date though. That could send some guys packin' if they know that you're learning all their 'ways'. It was cute in spots, but if you watch the trailer you see basically the whole movie. An hour could have been cut off this movie and it would have been better. It seemed so dragged out and repetitive. The should we marry/ should we not marry story was o.k. and GiGi, although cute, was annoying with her neediness and stalking behavior.
