I didn't think a movie like that was even possible to make with all that magic, action and much more! Go see the movie! It's not a waste of time because you'll think it's great! After I heard half of it, I decided that I would start reading the book the next morning. It didnt take much time to get stuck in the book. As a young author, and a total bookworm, I can say that both of these, the movie and the book are some of the most wonderful things that I have ever read. J.K. Sign In 2 out of 5 users found this helpful review of Harry Potter movie one (1)Posted: 6/14/2004A review of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by joeboxergirl37 Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was such a good movie.All the characters were very good I definately mean the younger actors.Harry Potter was played by Daniel Radcliff,Ron Weasley was played by Rupert Grint,Herminoe Granger was played by Emma Watson and last but not least Draco Malfoy was played by Tom Felton.But only one of these actors is used to being in movies and that is Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) played Pea Green in the movie the Barrowers.Yet Daniel Radcliff (Harry Potter) has done plays and such,he was also discoverd for the part of Harry Potter at the age of 10.Now they are all grown up and on to bigger things (hint..hint) rest of the Harry Potter flims.It was so good. There are some highlights about it though. The scene where they were playing chess on the characters had great special affects and was interesting. It followed the book so incredibly close, it was like they used the words from the book for the script!!<br> This movie really started me on reading the whole series...It kept you on the edge of your seat, always wanting to know what is going to happen next. Will he get killed? Will 'the sorcerer get the stone? One thing-I'll never tell. If you want all these answers, you will have to watch the movie. Soon after I finished reading them I started to read them again and I cantt wait until the rest of the movies and books are realeased. I thought the book was better, but I don't blame you books are usally better than a movie. Daniel, Emma, and Rupert just fit the role perfectly. I really liked the idea of having Lord Voldemort onn someone, because he wasn't strong enough. The third movie came out yesterday, I can't wait to see it. Was this review helpful?
