QT has totally lost his edge. Give me millions and I guarantee you that I could put together something that would blow this movie away. Weak attempt to try and shock movie goers when all it really did was insult me. The best part was the trailers between films very creative. As far as the movie itself...-D. Cmon QT, I know you can do better than this especially with the stars you got to be in this film.

I usually enjoy a well made independent Class B film. But this is a fake, these two guys can get any budget for a major production with famous actors, actresses. When the film makers had to use excessive blood and violence to make the movie more interesting, the movie itself is not worth to see, any way.

Death Proof was so dragged out, I almost left. The last thing I want to do is listen to a bunch of annoying girls talk for an hour. The movie ending was alright, but the chase scene was so hyped up that it really wasnt that great. Total waste of 7 bucks. The first flick was at least exciting, Tarentinos was just plain boring.

This movie brought back an art form that has been long lost. Rodriguez and Tarantino hit the nail straight on the head. For those of us that remember movies like these provides us with a real treat! Bring back the GrindHouse!! YEH!!!

How can a guy setup a scene in a movie and not deliver. I sat there for an hour while he set up a lap dance scene and then he pulls some crap and says that the reel is missing. The blood, gore, and decapitation was all there but if you want to see some bump and grind this guy is a tease. Hollywood has lost its edge.

Both PLANET TERROR and DEATH PROOF were good, but the fake movie trailers stole their thunder. MACHETE with Danny Trejo was action-packed and hilarious, and rumor has it that it might turn into a direct-to-DVD video. FEMALE WEREWOLVES OF THE SS (title?) was outrageous! The cameo by Nicholas Cage as Charlie Chan made me laugh so hard in my seat. THANKSGIVING was an excellent homage to the HALLOWEEN movies of John Carpenter. On the whole, GRINDHOUSE was a top-notch throwback to the 1970s art house theater experience.

Grindhouse reminded me of TROMA movies which emphasized on B-movie comical relief, I love troma...clearly an influence Every actor kicked ass in this film and the ending is feminist and rockin. You will not be sorry for staying for almost 4 hours because it grabs you in from the beginning. Highly recommended.

I went with my 16 year old brother on Good Friday to see this. We went at 1030 in the morning. Im usually not looking forward to see movies with him because he picks weird ones. Plus he didnt tell me til after I bought the tickets that it was over 3 hours long. I almost left. As soon as it started I was enthralled with it. Rose McGowan did an excellent job playing Cherry. Freddy Rodriquez was great at playing Ray. The casting was perfect. I loved the first part of the movie. PLANET TERROR was my favorite. The fake trailers were actually pretty good. I was like They need to make some of these into a real movie. Thanksgiving I would definitely go see. DEATH PROOF was a little slow at first but it picked up and I found my heart beating faster and faster towards the end of it. Kurt Russell was awesome in this part of the movie. I am definitely going to go see it again. I was disappointed to see that it only made 11 million opening weekend. Im sure itll pick up though. Im telling everyone about it. As a girl I definitely loved this movie. I cant wait for it to come out on Dvd and see the deleted scenes. Im sure there are plenty of them. Im taking my bf tonight to go see it... GO SEE IT NOW. WHAT ARE YOU DOING STILL READING THIS!! GO!! NOW!!

This was a fantastic movie. Yet, be warned, it is not for the faint of heart. I saw this movie in the afternoon so there were only five of us in the theater. Within the first five minutes two left. Ten minutes later another left, leaving only two of us. It is a brutal and violent movie but very entertaining and well done. The first of the two films is much better, but the second one is good. From beginning to end, over the three hours, if you like this type of movie you will be thouroughly entertained. Im just glad that my girlfriend didnt come with, otherwise she may have forced me to walk out with her.

Posted: 4/12/2007A review of Grindhouse by Jeffery_Joe1
This movie only made 11 mil in the first weekend. Most of poor ticket sales were in the south. This was due to the Snow the south got Thursdat and Friday night. We in the south dont see snow very often, and when we do we halt all normal actions and play in the snow. We dont go to the movies because we dont want to miss the snow. Also that Sunday was Easter. Anyway I finally went to this movie and enjoyed every minute of it. Cant wait til it is out on DVD. Only thing is it will be released on two different DVDs, one for each movie. You need to see this double feature at the theaters to get the full effect of this great movie.

Posted: 4/11/2007A review of Grindhouse by RobertPennell
I dreaded watching this movie at first as I stood in line to purchase the tickets. It was a guys night out and I was outnumbered. I now totally recant that regret. This movie was gory, dirty, shady, and disturbingly fun. I just couldnt get enough of it. Planet Terror was so funny I almost split a gut if you can actually justify such inhumane graphic violence as was this film. It had everything a person loves about movies and then some. Family drama, a scare or two, graphic violence, romance, a hot sex scene,(oops missing reel) hot women, big time actors and humor beyond funny. Then came Death Proof, which (sorry Tarantino) was no where near as entertaining as the first film. Until of course the car chase. The women butt kickers and the sling blade wanabe...(hilarious). Quinton spent to much time boring us in the begining. Then came the hilarious film trailers...Thanksgiving was great, Dont was hilarious, and Warewolf Women of the S.S. was disturbing. Machetti was the best one. Either way...awesome job. I was fully entertained. This wasnt a movie it was an event. Excellent expeirience in the theater as everyone just could not hold back their laughter.

This was one of the BEST 3.5 hours of my life! I had a complete blast the whole time. Planet Terror is without a doubt the most horribly brilliant zombie movie made in a long while. It wastes no time spreading the infection and wreaking havoc on the viewer, but youll be laughing the whole time. The action is non-stop, and the 50 phrases are so brilliantly placed. I found myself shaking my head while I was in line, pitying all the tweeny-boppers who were giddily making their way toward theater number 9 which boasted the Hills have Eyes 2 on its marquee. The trailers in between the two films were hilarious and cringe-inducing (at the same time). From Werewolf Women of the S.S. (which I think looks like the only movie that Nicholas Cage would be actually GOOD in), to the knee-slapping Dont (Will Arnett narrates it, which made it that much more brilliant), to the incredibly disgusting Thanksgiving (no comment), it just kept the look and feel going. Death Proof was a completely different monster. Chock-full of girl-power and guts, this muscle-car induced madness was a test of the MTV generations ability to tear themselves away from 30-second quick cuts to actually sit down and hear real girls talk like real girls and watch a completely non-CGI, non Fast and the Furious, ballsy car chase. Kurt Russell absolutely owned his role as Stuntman Mike, the scarry (and scary) stalker who will stop at nothing to get off on dating via vehicular homicide. The ending car chase totes some pretty fancy stuntwork and the guy-vs-girl-anything-you-can-do-I-can-d o-better car boxing match is a perfect blend of balls-to-the-wall action and good ol revenge. Trust me, the fact that this movie is not filling out theaters is a perfect indicator of the state of cinema at this moment. Its a good thing, and its good for you if you dont want to wait in line and fight for a good seat in the theater. Think about it..that, plus two movies for the price of one? Sweet..

Posted: 4/9/2007A review of Grindhouse by Movie-Lover-Girl0
I loved this movie. I grew up in the eighties and nineties and the Horror genre during that time was by far my favorite. Movies like Sleep Away Camp, Fright Night, Evil Dead, and Witchboard held a special kind of magic for me--they were B-Grade fun. Cheesy, campy, blood-guts-and-gore--Classic B-Grade. Grindhouse is truly a homage to that era--and I loved every bit of it. I laughed so hard that I cried. Truly, if you take Horror too seriously you get something that lacks life--which unfortunately encompasses a great deal of Hollywoods recent releases. Grindhouse isnt for people who are expecting to see Saw, nor is it for people expecting House of 1000 Corpses. If you want an Oscar winning script, DONT see this movie--its not what its about. Its about good, classic Horror Fun with modern day effects. Its not about being scared--its about being entertained by the pure hilarity of the movie. And of course, the car chase in Death Proof has got to be the greatest ever filmed. Love ya, Quintin and Robert!
