I would say that it was okay. And there was no understandable reason as to why it just didn't work as well as I had thought it would.
The music was fine.

Although it does have a perverted sense of humor to it, and some of the wording is quite vulgur, but otherwise funny, and a good story. As a young couple in our early 30's I would recommend it to my friends. A large majority of it is about male behavior which i found to be somewhat true in alot of cases and downright accurate.. lol A must see.. but not for people who cant handle a good dirty joke... Not nearly as good as McConaughey's other movies. It was weird that he was in such a cheesy movie to be honest. But overall funny, I'd recommend waiting and just renting it though. I feel robed of an 1hour and 45 minutes I’ll never get back. Slow to start and just plain boring. All the best part are in the trailer so watch the trailer laugh then save yourself the time and money because the scenes in the trailer are all the worth while parts in the whole movie. It was Scrooge meets VH1...I was squirming and squeamish after the first 15 minutes. It's characters stooped to too many lows to be redeemed. And the ending - I just about got sick...when the last line of a movie has to do with a tacky womanizing 50 something year old hitting on a 16 year old because he has no more options, I'm losing my popcorn! The film tries to identify what true love is.
Sometimes it falls off the track and gets to soppy or stupid, but for the most
part the movie explains that love is not instant gratification - it's working through
the good, the bad and the ugly.

Matthew's charactor is one that women would dispise then spends the whole rest of the movie tearing him up in ghosts of past present and future style. There are only a couple of spots where I cracked a smile and I love Mathew McConnahey. He's too good of an actor for such a cornball of a movie.
