The movie had potential in the beginning but then it started to unravel. You can't blame the cast for the weak directing. If the director had an inkling of how to tell the story of the Ghost Rider, he would have done a better job.
Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes are good actors, but their direction in this move made them look really bad. Sam Elliot and Peter Fonda were the only strong actors in the movie, but they did not have enough screen time to carry the movie.
This just goes to show you that the director makes the movie becuase he brings out the best in his cast. Clearly this director brings out the worst in everyone!
I give it the least possible rating of 1-Star. Wait for it on TV because it is not worth spending your hard-earned money to see it. Was this review helpful? The action scenes were horrible, if you'd even call them action scenes. The CGI for the ghost rider wasnt very impressive at all, his head looked like a cartoon. The GHOST RIDER is suppose to be a pretty ruthless dude, but they tried to make him funny? And that point he does,WTF! The only good casting was Nic Cage and Sam Elliot, but then they had a really horrid screenplay to deal with. The special effects were great, too bad they were all in the previews. Greatest part of the movie is when he is in the jail cell and all those 'white thugs' get beat up, but the one black kid is judged innocent. HAHAHAHAAH! Get real! Was this review helpful? So I finally got the dvd. I watched the film and I thought it was pretty cool film and good special effects. The only downside of it was the ending was pretty lame. Also it was a little weird when Nicolas Cage changing to Ghost Rider it actually made him look bigger than his actual size. But I already know that the Ghost Rider was performed by a different actor or stuntman. Which I gon't understand why, maybe just to make it more intimidating. I wished there was longer fight scenes in it before whipping the demons with the Ghost Rider's chains. I loved the hellcycle it was awsome and intimidating looking. I whished I own one of those! If the studios decide to make a sequel I hope it will be better than the first and have longer scenes of Carter Slade team up with Johnny Blaze both in their Ghost Rider form. All in all I thought it was a cool fim.

They had to be either high or under the age of 12. Even high this movie would be awful. Now I know why Hollywood keeps turning out garbage like this movie. the movie is no comparison to batman,superman, and spiderman. so dont rent it expecting that. because u will be disappointented.
the movie is diff worth renting when it comes out, but not worth buying.

But, his sarcastic swagger would have been more fun to watch than Cages depression. But, Cage delivers an acceptable show, and the story was close enough to the original that it was thoroughly enjoyable. Sam Elliot was good in his role. A little more of him would have been nice. I must say I was surprised by the graphics and the RUSH of stimulation the movie brought out to me as a viewer. I brought my kids to see this Marvel event, having grown up with several comic book Heros. Although they had to hide their eyes a lot from the scary parts, they still did not want to miss any part of the movie. I was more than pleasantly surprised by Nicolas Cage as Ghost Rider. Eva seemed a little thick in her dresses but still very stunning, and appealing. Ghost Rider had great twists and turns in the movie. This review is coming from an owner of several vintage Ghost Rider Comic books. I enjoyed the ride more than my kids did.
