Thats true. Classics never do die, just like this classic horror movie. Just the fact that this movie is too awesomely brutal is enough to give it 5 stars. My best friend Dustin, and I both, love this movie. I mean, Dustin told me that it scared him badly when he was little, but now that were both grown, its just too much fun to watch this movie. The reason this movie scared Dustin is at the end when Jason comes out of the water. But yeah, this movie is so very much a classic. And so, Im going back to work now.

The horror film that played for 4 months in theaters, the horror movie that has had 10 sequels after it.It's Friday The 13th!The movie plot is simple,in 1957 a mentally ill child by the name of Jason Voorhees drowned in the lake of Camp Crystal Lake in Wessex County,Massachusets. One year later,1958,two camp counselors at Camp Crystal Lake were mysteriosly and brutally murdered.During the 60's and 70's there were a bunch of fires at the camp and any who entered the camp was murdered. Now in 1980,a man by the name of Steve Christy wants to open up the camp again for children. But it seems that there is a killer going around slaughtering all the counselors at the camp?

Friday the 13th set a benchmark for horror in the 1980's. A simple plot used to superb effect, the identity of the killer is kept secret to the finale of the film, a horror which keeps the suspence and grips you for the entire duration. The acting is excellant and an early film role for Kevin Bacon (Hollow man, Invincible) become one of the victims, Friday the 13th makes no mistakes whatsoever and is a must- see, however ignore the very poor sequels!. Absolutely superb.

Even though the J-man was not in this one it still was cool to watch. I love the kill scenes and the ending especially.

It's funny how, when you watch a movie as a kid you were scared to go to the bathroom by yourself, nevermind when your parents wanted to take you camping, then watching it years later and wondering why you were sooo scared. But it did what it was supposed to do. Scare the living daylights out of me. This movie terrified me as a kid and every now and then, I pull it out, ";just because";.And although I laugh at how terrified I used to be, somewhere, deep inside, it still makes me turn on my outside light when I'm home alone.

Jason is the king of the serial killers, such as Freddy and Michael Myers etc. I have been watching the Friday the 13th series of films since I was about 4 years old, my older brother loved watching them so we always did.

Objectively, this really isn't a bad film. The first of it's kind, Friday the 13th spawned a whole genre of movies...";the slasher ficks. Great makeup work and special effects from Tom Savini and a decent plot, this is fun to watch. As far as the sequels go, they're rediculous.

This was a good movie! I could barely stay in the room. It was wierd though how his mom popped out of nowhere, not knowing who she was to play. But on Halloween or something I recommend to watch it. You'll be really scared!
