In my opinion Lindsay Lohan was probably the worst choice available. She is as far from punk, rocker, or any other use of the term cool as possible. Of course, she is a bad person in REAL life, everybody knows this seeing as she smokes two packs of cigarettes a day, but the point is, she just could not play the role. Jamie Lee Curtis, on the other hand did a fantastic job. I am just sorry a woman with such a great voice did not get to sing all that much in the movie. Disagree with me as you like, but this is just my opinion and it has nothing personal...persay...to do with Lindsay Lohan herself.I may be a cruel critic, but at least I am honest. It's a great film. If you liked her in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen you'll like her in Freeky Friday too. I loved the Music. Was this review helpful? Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are hilarious as Anna and Tess Coleman. Loved Chad Michael Murray as Jake and the supporting cast was so cool. Definitely an awesome remake. It was surprising because Jamie-Lee Curtis usually plays a serious person but this time she plays a care-free woman. Also, the kid actors did the charcters extremly well. Freaky Friday was filmed to be remade. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful Posted: 6/7/2004A review of Freaky Friday by TangibleFear Yes.

We all know that this movie is a hit with the younger kids, and of course, the average teenager. Well yeah. So me, being an older teen, can understand the points for the children and pre-teens, AND older teens liking it. Well yes. So, the points of a teenager and her overworked mom trading places is rather amusing. It also teaches you the meaning of love and understanding, not just asuming, and not getting the real picture.

Also udnerstanding, that although you may play an important part, the world does not revolve around you. Also, begining to understand, and realize, that the world is not that simple, and a teen needs a little more than a, 'Oh, I'm sorry. Will you mow the lawn?'

So for that, I give this movie, Thumbs Up!
~Erin Was this review helpful? Sign In | ||
