It is so cool.
Roddy Saint James is Very Coot. Was this review helpful? Sign In 2 out of 2 users found this helpful Posted: 1/23/2007A review of Flushed Away by Anonymous Flushed Away is an OK family movie that your little stepsister will enjoy but you WONT.
The story revolves around Roddy, a pampered pet mouse who is used to living in paradise. When a sewer rat comes up through his ... (garbage disposal, I think) Roddy is disgusted. Roddy tries to trick this mouse into getting flushed down the toilet, but if the dang things a sewer rat...you think it would know a toile? So Roddy gets flushed into a new world instead.
One in this sewer land, Roddy asks a man where he can get a ride back to...the top. He reccomends the captain of a ship called the Jolly Rancher or something. Turns out, the captian of the ship is a girl mouse whos name I forgot. She is on the run from these frog guys who want her ruby which belonged to her grandma or something.
Thats ALL Im gonna give away cuz I hate to spoil something....this movie is good for a few laughs but in the long run its nothing compared to Shrek or Ice Age. Was this review helpful? My nieces and nephews loved it and me and my husband laughed a loud. Just cute. If you like Wallace and Gromit and you will love this. This is what a kid movie should be. Entertaining for adult and entertaining for children. Was this review helpful? The movie flushed away was really stuped
uh, stupid is spelled s-t-u-p-I-d )
I liked this movie. Any film that has some French Frogs raising their hands and yelling, We surrender! is okay in my book.
The slugs were funny too. Was this review helpful? The Slugs were hilarious, but a bit over used. Not a total waste of money but not necessary to run out to see it either.... Parent s give it a 3, kids say 4. Happy trails! Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 11/6/2006A review of Flushed Away by ---Rebel_Child--- i went and saw this movie with my freind, even though we had no idea what it was about. i LOVED it. i love kids movies with lots of adult humor, and this one didnt have as much as, say, shrek 2. but it still did have some and i would recommed this movie for anybody who loves kids movies. P.S. the snail maggot singing slimy things were so funny!! Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 11/4/2006A review of Flushed Away by Crazy_little_thing_cal I went and saw it today with my friend. And we didnt think it was all that hot. I mean they did a good job on the main character but on all the rest they over acted. And the girl in it omg! She was so annoying i couldnt stand her. And the slugs were just used to much in the movie. So personally i think if you want to go see this movie, dont not until its on dvd. Go see some other really good ones, theres plenty of them. The previous reviews must have been written by employees of DreamWorks. We fell asleep during the movie as well as other people in the theatre. Little kids were telling there parents that they were ready to go home. I dont know what all the excitement was about. I have watched my share of animated movies and this one did not measure up. The difference this time around is that everything is computer animated and modeled but excellent care was taken in preserving the look and feel of claymation. While the character designs are brilliant as usual and both Winslet and Jackmans personas are quite amply enticing, it still feels like something is missing. Oh yeah, Wallace and Gromit.

Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 10/30/2006A review of Flushed Away by Charles1030 The movie is a wonderfully chaotic affair nimbly directed by David Bowers and Sam Fell, is entirely computer animated yet retains the Aardman look as the characters are designed as if they were plasticine puppets with the expressive brows and exaggerated mouths one associates with its films.
Collaborating with DreamWorks Animation, for whom the studio already has made Wallace Gromit The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, and Chicken Run, Shrek, Shrek 2, and Shrek The Third (Opens May 18, 2007), Aardman has turned out a gloriously droll comic adventure that combines British wit with Yankee exuberance.
There is no age limit to this movie, which might need multiple viewings to catch all the background gags and snappy one-liners that rush at the viewer with a vaudevillian sense of gleeful anarchy. Flushed Away appears primed to make the cartoon studios and Paramount flush with money.
Characters are not as elastic as is typical in CG or, for that matter, even old-fashioned cel animation. The figures are designed to move and behave as if they were made of clay, wood and paint. They pose and use facial expressions with a heavy emphasis on the Aardman trademark of brows and mouths.
The backgrounds, witty takes on the contemporary human world, are colorful and meticulous in detail. Harry Gregson-Williams rollicking score gives a huge lift to all the comedy.
This Delicious slapstick, droll wit and terrific characters make Aardmans first venture in CG cartooning a great success.
And i think that the movie is a clever collaboration between Aardman Features despite lacks Wallace and Gromits charm, thats mile-a-minute inventiveness is impressive. Was this review helpful?
